Says he's happy Orgeron got the job, says it's important to him Corey Raymond remains the secondary coach. He says Saban still calls him every Wednesday at 6:30 pm, trying to flip him. He plans on enrolling early at LSU.

Compare his Strengths/Weaknesses to Jamal Adams.

Can't wait for him to be in P&G. I believe he will be our version of Jabrill Peppers IMO. He is a freak athlete on both sides of the ball.

I'd say Jacoby is a lot like Chad Jones.... imo

after watching clips of him, i really don't know if he's better suited for S or LB

i honestly think that he could be a legendary LB if he got up to 240 or so

Seen him play a couple of times. He's very athletic and has the frame right now to get it done. I would say his motor probably doesn't run at 100 % all the time, but he's got everything else. Very good wide receiver as well.

to give some player comparisons...adams is like ed reed. stephens is like sean taylor

not saying he'll ever reach the status of those 2 legends, but the type of player is similar

Maybe someone should help him be busy on Wednesdays at 6:30?

Better yet. I live about 2 miles from his high school. I'll help him move to BR next month. I'll even drive him down there.

Good summation, and what you get off film. He will be good, but his intensity lags...I know he's just the best player on the field, and can get away with it, but if he can be as focused and dialed in on every play, the sky is the limit...

What makes you guys say his motor isn't always at 100%? Not being argumentative, I just don't necessarily see that. For God sakes he has 9 interceptions?

Said the other day, kid is 100% LSU. Saban is trying and will fail.

I think the possibility of his playing linebacker sometime has been mentioned. If it gets him on the field faster, then go for it.

Also, I understand he must be an outstanding talent, or Saban would not be calling Stevens on a regular basis. I certainly hope Stevens continues to show sound judgment and sticks with LSU. Nice to know LSU can win a battle with Bama over a recruit.

I like the idea of him playing linebacker as well.

The issue I see with that currently though is that we have zero depth at linebacker and he would pretty much require a red shirt to bulk up for the spot. We need guys that can play there immediately.

He is an early enrollee, so that would help him add weight sooner than later and maybe stave off the redshirt requirement, or maybe we could pick up a JUCO LB or two and allow for that development time.

After Michael Brockers, we stopped redshirting anyone other than QBs and OLs. That has hurt the development of some players (DJ CHARK!!!!!!!!!), and should absolutely be re-evaluated as a strategy.

I mean, were the 17 special teams snaps (lowballing for effect) Duke Riley got as a freshman more valuable than the potential senior year he could have had next year? I seriously doubt it.
