Top 2 receivers at LSU have 52 catches and 40 catches. The next nearest guy has 24 catches. We played 12 games. That's an average of 4, 3, and 2 catches a game if you round off. Quinn has around 111 catches on the year in 14 games which is about 8 catches a game. We have improved our passing game but it is never going to be a wide open passing game. At best its balanced with a slight edge towards running the ball. It is very important to have receivers that block in a Les Miles offense.
Just FYI no LSU receivers in the top 50 nationally in catches per game. Not a criticism just a fact it's not an offense where receivers get a lot of production. LINK
