I am currently watching highlights from the UA All-American practice and saw some 1v1's with many LSU commits. I saw Tim Williams and was really impressed. Only weighs 230 but reminded me alot of Mingo. Comes off of the end fast and could bulk up in college and could be something great. Now i did see alot of post about how we stopped recruiting him. Why is that? Why wouldnt we want him?

Thanks

Unfortunate that he is favoring the "whU" of all places...

they say his upside is lacking, has short arms, frame to add weight etc..

Great athlete, but is not at the top LSU's list

plus there apparently is some kind of other issue lingering the background, which I wouldn't want to speculate...that's all I got from 247.

Meh...after reading his twitter link, it would be best for LSU to not pursue...if a player isn't happy with their decision, then no amount of talent will make them relevant. Unfortunately, TW won't be relevant with Miami either...

This. There are some issues that don't include talent and football

I just watched an interview on Rivals where he says he will take his last visit to LSU because it's home, and he loves Coach Frank and Coach Miles. He was very positive about LSU in the interview. In fact, it sounded like he wanted to stay in Baton Rouge.

He says he is going to visit Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M, and LSU in that order.

His interview sounded good for LSU, we have a chance. About 2 months ago I read a Website that said he wants to go out of state, maybe Miami. He could change his mind, but he said "go out of state". He looked quick in the AA practice, in fact looked and played just like Mingo.

All the talk I've heard lately is that FSU is the leader not Miami. That comes from Miami mods as well.

Don't know the whole situation with him and LSU but I'm not expecting him at LSU. Would take him in a minute based of talent but won't be upset if we don't. I'm happy with Herron, Neal, Patterson and maybe Beckwith. Add in the '14 kids and we'll be fine.

Don't know who said he lacks upside but they're incorrect. He's all upside. Far from a tapped out player. He's all speed and athletic ability at this point. His issues, on the field, are lack of effort, discipline and lack of polish.

I've watched every game of his HS career, and you just penned the most accurate description anyone on here or any of the paid sites have ever written. If a college coach can teach him some technique and motivate him to go all out on every play, he could easily be Mingo/Montgomery good. Anyone that says we wouldn't want this kid is full of crap. He has the chance to be special, and I'll repeat for the umpteenth time-if he was a problem in the locker room, why would his coaches and teammates have elected him the permanent team captain for the playoffs this season?
