The Orgeron effect...

We all knew we he was hired that THIS year would be spectacular. However, it has exceeded my expectations...
And for this reason I fully expect some serious booms before its over. The difference...??? Unlike years past where we would whiff on top prospects at closing time...now will go our way.
We will avenge *5 for 5 on this signing day. All Louisiana's top prospects are staying home.
Just ridiculous. The good thing is...at least on defense..if one DT doesn't pan out or a DB etc...we've doubled and trippled up and have solid players all the way through. Its not just top heavy. This class is fail safe...!!!!

We avenged this by NOT getting Speedy Noil, Gerald Willis and Tony Brown. All of which had irrelevant seasons this year.

2 for 5 was a blessing in disguise. Nothing to avenge.

Orgeron has been huge but people are totally overlooking what Peveto has contributed.

He'll never get his due with the majority of this fanbase because he's such a lackluster coach on the field, but he could possibly be the best recruiter on staff. It seems like every time a kid has committed over the last year he's named BDP as one of the reasons he picked LSU.
ETA: That's not a knock on O, he's a force in his own right, but his real talent will show up next year when the kids he's been on in an LSU polo since they were So/Jrs are due up.

Noil suspended from bowl game.
Willis kicked off Florida.
Brown suspended from bowl game.
I think 2 for 5 helped us better than 5 for 5.

Agreed. I wish the talk of 2/5 would stop as LSU effectively went 2/2 that day.

I don't know this, can't prove it, am not stating as fact and don't even really mean it to disparage him and what he's done here but I think alot of BDPs success has come from recruiting for LSU not the other way around whereas I believe BeBe and CR could more stand on their own recruiting wise

Notice how I said that I wasn't saying it as fact, had no proof of what i said, etc. I all but said I could be way off base, that i was just spitballing. Orgerons had great success other places, CR brought in good talent at Nebraska, i just havent heard of BDP being a hit at other places like hes been this year here was my thought process. The way youll reacted you would have thought i stated it as known proven undeniable truth... Damn, read the whole post you F.A.MFers
