I guess so; I like Collins better than him, but he did very well for a true freshman.

So they have never pulled top athletes from texas before?

Never said that brain trust, but thanks for the post and help supporting my statement above.

Sure A&M has recruited top athletes in the past, HOWEVER, now being a member of the SEC and the fact that all premier athletes want to showcase their talent in the best conference in college football, MANY more of the states (TX) premier athletes will strongly consider A&M and remain in their home state rather than commit to an OOS school for a chance to play in the SEC.

what makes you so sure they will get guys that were going OOS and not guys that would have gone to Texas or OU?

EVen in the early 90's when LSU was terrible and A&M was dominating the state, LSU was able to get players like Odell Beckham Sr, Kendall Cleveland and Alan Faneca from Texas. LSU has always gotten recruits from Texas. A&M joining the SEC will not stop that.

SIMPLY PUT BRO.....with A&M now being a member of the best and most competative conference in college football (SEC West), they will attract more of the states premier athletes than they did when they were in the Big 12. As long as the SEC remains the most dominant conference in college football, this will remain the case.

Simply put BRO, you didn't answer the question and changed the subject. A&M will get better recruits, that doesn't mean LSU won't be able to get players out of Texas.

The coaches didn't. I thought Collins played fantastic this year. Everything I saw from him screamed NFL...and still Mills, a true freshman, beat him out of the starting job. As much as I like Collins I can't argue. I saw more from Mills than Mo showed early on. We will be absolutely stacked in the back two levels of defense next year. If they can get the Dline play - and I admit that's unlikely - I expect no losses next year.
