Am I just overlooking someone, or do we have no recruits from TX this year? Is this just a off year or has the addition of A&M put a fence around the state?

Is this a big year in the state of Texas for recruits in general? Answer that and it may enlighten you as to why we went to NC, GA, CA, TN, and IL for kids instead.

Christian Lacouture played in Texas, but moved to Nebraska the fall of his Sr year after committing to Nebraska, but flipped to LSU and is now an EE.

Chris Hardeman from Houston is a 2014 verbal commit to LSU. Plus we are in the mix for several top Texas kids in 2014 and even considered the favorite for what may be the #1 player in Texas next year.

Why would 1 year suggest a trend either way?

I made the trip down I-10 from BR to Houston and did not see this fence you speak of... None the less, I will keep an eye out

Seems like LSU is either the favorite or in the running for the top DBs in Texas next year.

We gun rape Texas in 2014, just wait. That's when it's time to go in there and get the talent. This year was pretty meh for Texas. RSJ is considered the best recruit and he looked pretty mediocre during all-star week recently.

Matter fact did any Texas player stand out at any all-star game week?

Forget it bro....you cannot ask a legitimate question and expect a civilized answer on this board. It will be misconstrued instantaneously and you will be branded as a "negitiger" attempting to sabotage the program!!

Nonetheless.....to provide perspective to your question, I do not believe that we do have any recruits from TX this year. I do believe that A&M will make it more difficult for us to recruit in TX in the coming years, but they will never lock down the state altogether. A&M's program has and will continue to improve, and this will undoubtably allow them to pull top atheltes out of the State of TX, from this point on.

Some people will complain if u win it all. Does it matter which state these talented recruits are from.
When and if LSU has a recruiting class that isnt considered a top 15 class and no texas players are on it then u might have a point until then............

So they have never pulled top athletes from texas before? You know they have a guy named luke joeckel, he was the #6 player in texas in 2010. jake matthews the #8 player in texas. Chrsitine michael, 5* #5 player in texas. Thomas Johnson 5* #5 player in texas. Devonte Harris #10 in Texas. Trey williams 5* #3 player in texas. They aslo get a slew of 4* from texas every year.

The reason you cant ask a question is because they arent legitimate.

You act like tamu didnt have talent before sumlin. Well they did.

LSU alumni are a huge presence in the Houston area; we will get our share. Honestly, the only true impact players that I can think of in the last five years would be Flynn , Brockers, Brooks, Lafell, and maybe Loston. Recently we seem to getting some good players from Georgia.
