Anyone think we should have offered him last year even as a backup plan? He has good size and a strong arm.

Said it last year and stand by that assessment. Kid will be a baller at Tech.

He's a better QB than Bailey and Garrett, that's for sure.

I live in Tennessee and make it back down to Monroe for Labor Day and last year I saw Neville and Ouachita play. Birch looked damn good to me. I think we may have missed a real good one. I'm no coach, but he looked like a very solid, poised, intelligent player.

KEY WORDS

He is a dang good talent but I never saw the accuracy of an SEC QB. He had a PLENTY strong enough arm, but he never showed the touch needed.

I have no problem with Tech starting him as a true freshman since he looks like the best QB on the Tech roster. Tony Franklin, however, has a problem starting a true freshman

Ensminger is starting, but Burch is the future and already looks like the best QB

From what I heard about the spring game that they had, he was very good. He was pushing Jenkins.
