Stop the negative comments when recruits don't choose LSU

Its time to clean up this board with the negative and snarky comments directed toward 17 year old kids making the biggest decision of their lives.Many of these kids are very unsophisticated and easily influenced and manipulated. Respect their decision, let the recruiting process play out and accept whatever happens when the actual signing is over.
If the coaches believe they still have a chance and the decision was premature they will continue to recruit him and try to flip him to LSU. You will add nothing to their efforts to do so, and may hamper them with your personal insults directed to the young man.
There are over 4 months until national signing day and many things can happen. There are so many dynamics which play into who is ultimately offered, who signs and who goes elsewhere. LSU will land in the top five no matter who ends up picking the Tigers. These coaches know what they are doing, support them and let them do their job.

Who the frick are you taking, snowflake? Chase??? There's like no negative comments about him in his commitment thread. I mean maybe one is borderline negative but you've gotta be really sensitive to be offended by that. Are you Chase's mom or aunt or something?

I really don't think the Chase thread is that bad. I've seen a lot worse on this board. Either way...it's going to happen every now & then.
I've been on LSU recruiting sites for 15 years, & you're not the first person to have this opinion. Just like always, your post won't change anything.

some people give this website so much more credit than it deserves. I'll be 100% honest and say that if an 18 year old adult and incoming college freshman lets a few negative comments on the tigerdroppings recruiting board of all things steer the biggest decision they'll probably ever make in their entire lives, then they probably don't have the mental stability and "it factor" required to handle the rigors, stresses, and pressure of being highly successful at a major SEC football program. You're not going to get a bunch of random college kids to stop talking shite on the internet FYI. You should probably take that one up with the admins here, and at this point it doesn't seem like any of them have any interest in cleaning this site up whatsoever. It's annoying and makes the site experience way worse, but we're certainly not losing any worthwhile recruits over it

Agreed. Some people believe that we really do lose recruits because of it though. That's their main argument. Personally, I think the notion is silly.

No sense in saying this man.. there have always been and will always be trolls on here and people who have no filter just trash these guys when they know 10% of the story. Just have to ignore it and look at the post by guys who actually care about LSU recruiting and know a thing or two. The bad thing is recruits know about this site and see the shite people are saying about them.

Was referring to other threads. Actually surprised at the chase thread no real meltdown! But no he chose Florida after everything they have done to LSU in the last year. He is tiger bait along with anyone who isn't in purple and gold. It's the "he wasn't good enough" or "wouldn't have made it at LSU" petty little comments like that when we lose out. that's what I was referring to not just the chase thread

There is some merit in what you are saying, but its clear this kid's recruiting decision making is a little shaky and impulsive and subject to change. Not every recruit has the maturity and family structure that Leonard Fournette had which allowed him to filter out negativity and make the decision that was best for himself. With others they need time to mature and might over react to the negative comments by those swooning over him before his commitment. Remember, he is only seeing comments about himself on the LSU board as opposing fans know little about his situation. Just wish some did not get to overly invested and personal. You are right we cannot control every one.

Any kid who is from Louisiana and chooses another SEC school I will dislike for the rest of their career. I don't have to respect their choice. I don't have to pull for them. They are a traitor because they turned down the best state and best school in the country. If you don't believe that you are not a supporter of LSU.
