Here are a list of local kids i've seen at camps or play. In no particular order

1. Terrence Broadway/Capitol High School/QB- Not only have i seen him play but also at camps and 7 on 7 . Has the size and a monster arm. Plus he can run when he wants. Did I mention he can make all the right passes. He lead the Baton Rouge area last year in passing as a sophmore. Throwing for over 2,000 yards and leading a good capitol team that i think will go deep into the playoffs this year. When i think of this kid i think of J-Russ. If you look at him he already looks like a college QB, size wise. Going to be a top prospect

2. Ronnie Vinson/Newman High School/DB- I haven't seen him play yet but he held his own against the older kids at the Nike Camp. One of the stars of last year's Newman team that was great. Also plays wr but will probably play rb this year Has the size, adequate speed and good ball skills will be a top LA prospect despite where he goes to school.

3. Michael Williams/Episcopal High School/ATH- I've seen him play in a real game and in 7 on 7, also i've seen him at the Scout.com camp and heared about him at the Nike Camp. The kids lacks bulk and is which is really the only knock on this kid other than he doesnt really play a lot of man-to-man coverage which you can tell at camps. Despite this his opponent rarely makes coaches on him in 1 on 1's. A kid with excellent ball skills and great speed, if you look at him he looks like a track star. Going to also be a top prospect despite school he attends and could be a great one if he can add bulk and improve his man coverage skills. Last years cut short because of injury

4. Trevon Reed/ATH/Thibodaux - Dont know much about him except that he is an ATHLETE

5. Drew Dileo- Parkview Baptist/ATH- MVP of last years 3A state championship game, dont know much about Him. Seen him at 7 on 7 playing a little QB,WR,Wings. So who knows. Looks like hes really been working in the weight room though

More To COME......

Drew Dileo is one hell of a ball player but Orrin Fontenot will be the best JR on PBS’s team this year. Orrin has some of Beckwith’s qualities. Drew plays DB, WR, Return specialist, and he also washes the uniforms after the cuts the grass. All kidding aside he is a great athlete but he needs to grow taller and put some serious weight on. With that said he is a blast to watch but he is a better baseball prospect than football. Below are a few more names to add to your list.

Quarterback Terrance Broadway of Capital HS
Quarterback Jeremy Meyers of St. Michaels HS

Running back James Gillum of Pearl River HS
Running back DJ Lewis of Haynesville HS

Wide receiver Dilen Guidry of Catholic-Pointe Coupee HS
Wide receiver Trovon Reed of Thibodaux HS
Wide receiver Jarrett Fobbs of Huntington HS.

Offensive lineman Ashton Duhe of Destrehan HS

Defensive lineman Risean Broussard of Washington-Marion HS
Defensive lineman Glenn Stagg of Mamou HS

Linebacker Orrin Fontenot of Parkview Baptist HS
Linebacker DJ Welter of Notre Dame

Defensive back Eric Reid of Dutchtown HS
Defensive back Ronnie Vinson of Isidore Newman

Athlete Jonathan McKnight of John Curtis HS

If history means anything there should be some talent at Acadiana, Bastrop, Curtis, Evangel, West Monroe, Catholic, Aug, Shaw, Rummel, Ruston, West Monroe, South Plaquemines, Neville, St. Thomas More, St. James, East St. John, Hahnville, South Lafourche, and John Ehret.

Leesville will have a couple of recruits for 2010:

TE Will Graves (6-7, 230)
WR Jeron Hamm (6-4, 185)

In fact, recruiters will be coming through Leesville in the next few years.

Name for the future: Levander Liggins (5-11, 170) will be a sophomore this season. Will backup QB Travante Stallworth and then take over the spread offense. Should grow to about 6-1 or 6-2. Also will be a highly sought-after basketball prospect.

Ruston has Carlos Wilson a 5'11 185 RB who excells at both running and receiving and is an excellent student in the classroom and of the game. Neville has a big QB who is a very good athlete and might be considered for maore positions. I also look for Quintin Crowe of Ruston to bulk up more and make some noise, he has great instincts at LB and is around 6'2 200. There is also a lineman from West Monroe who is about 6'5 260 with the frame to put on a good 50 pounds. These are just a few of the 2010 guys I've seen. When the season begins I'll see if I can't get more specifics and footage of these North La guys.

What does the school he attends have to do with his ability as a player? I would think if he is an athl EHS would only inhance his college choices. Like with Ainsworth....was only 5'5" at EHS and then when he transfered to PV they made him 6'5" and 290. Rrrightt! Not knocking your list or your effort but pull your arse out of head when you make comments like this. School choice really hurt that OL from Vandy this year in the 1st round huh?

I thought the same thing until I saw him this summer at some 7-7 games. He is really good. Seems to read defenss well for his age and has touch and strength.

What's the deal with the Rome kid. Is Tag Rome one of your coaches? The son is a competitor. He showed some game vs. Evangel Christian as a youngster.

West Monroe has four 2010 potential recruits.

Jordan Allen- 6'5 260 DE (350lb power clean, very explosive)
Dillon Day- 6'4 250 OT/OG (300lb power clean but plays extremely physical.)
Josh Zeagler- 5'11 215 OLB/SS (Very fast 4.5ish with a 400lb. bench press)
Robert Lay- 5'11 200 MLB (4.6, 320lb. bench press, 525 squat)

Dillon Day looks to have the most upside of any player in the 2010 class for WM. He is just an animal on the field, and has room to grow.

Rome is very competitive and has improved by leaps and bounds since last year. I look for him to be one of the top QBs in the state this year as he is a good athlete that can both run and throw. A little on the short side for a major D1 school, but could definitely play at La Tech, ULL or ULM( ULM has a QB commitment from a kid out of Pace so I'll get to compare at the end of the year). He was a WR at Evangel, and word is he believed(as did many I've spoken to) he was better at QB than the youngest booty, and he might be right. He finally has a grasp of the offense and with a new deep threat in Torrey Griffin 6'1 190 basketball player(remember that name) as well as Richardson a hybrid (6'2 216)TE/WR and Carlos Wilson (5'11 185 2010 RB to watch) he should put up unreal numbers. His dad is not coaching, but working with state farm in Ruston. Working with insurance in Ruston is straight money just as real estate here is. If Rome doesn't go big in football look for him to sign in baseball at a major college. Clint Clement is helping with the offense as well by playing some center(if he weighed 40 pounds more he'd be the top center anywhere around, he's a natural there), but he will play more at DE since he's about 6'2 215 and benched over 340. I saw him lift 335 in the spring with a few reps.

Also, speaking of Rome, he guided Ruston to winning the 7 on 7 at NSU. They pretty much have been scoring at will, and the defense only gave up 1 TD in 4 games after being led by Brandon Robertson CB/SS( 6 int), Javonte Crowe OLB/SS( 111 sparq) and Kevin Edmonds CB (103 sparq). If these guys can learn to stay focused they should do very well this year. My biggest concern is the OL and not going all ADHD in big games. The DL is lead by Jonal White 6'1 270 ( benches over 365), Clement at one DE and Phillip McClain 6'4 210 DE (2010)who continues to grow into a force off the edge. Also look for mean Fred Deans son Mason to continue to grow and develope into a player at DE, he'll just be a Soph., but I love his quiet killer demeanor.

here is a quick response I don't have much time. Yes, as I stated before Broadway is legit. and I will be updating this tomorrow. but when I checked this I noticed there was an apparent episcopal "coach" knocking one of his own kids. what kind of coach are you? I never said that I was baseing this off of 7 on 7. I saw this kid in the jamboree last year, and at the Scout.com combine. Now an player that can hold his own against top rising seniors as a rising junior has to be given credit.tackling can be thought btw other things can't. and if you don't believe me go to scout.com and check the top performers list from that combine, I believe he was the only junior on the list. and if this track kid is so good, than why haven't I heared about him except on the track, same with the other kid. if your a coach and you don't believe in the kid then you won't help him get recruited, so next time I see him im going to show him this maybe he'll go somewhere where they will believe in him. I hate coaches like, you your not in it to help the kids, your just in it for the paycheck plus I heared he was thinking of going to university to pla with barret bailey a three star prospect now. On the other note I wasn't knocking the kids schools I was just saying they usually don't have good skill athletes. trying to get more info on jeremy meyers. Does anyone know of any South LA 2010 linemen and rb
