We currently have:

#1 and #9 Safety
#1 ILB
#1 JUCO WR
#3 FB
#4 DT
#5 All purpose back
#6 Pro style QB
#9 Dual threat QB
#10 OT
#11 OG
#12 CB

In addition we have another OG, 2 WRs, ILB, 2 DEs, CB, OT and DT commits.

We are in a good position with the #1 and #3 DT and a few stud ILB and OLBs I'm sure O and co also have a few other contingencies available as well. Regardless how this ends we will have a heck of a haul across our areas of need.

With a coaching change, our class to the point is miraculous.

I am very happy with this class as is, it fills most of the positions of need.

And, it could get a whole lot better.

I'm just here to say that Grant Delpit isn't the number 9 safety in any universe. Hes the number 3 safety according to 247 and that's what I'm gonna go by. His film is more impressive than Stevens in my opinion and the kid is 6'4" with ELITE instincts. Having him as the number 9 safety is criminal. Rivals and ESPN is so bad that's I can't even take it seriously.

What's the deal with Willie gay? More likely with Phillips on board or going to commit to Piss st. this weekend?

I would think Phillips flipping has to help. Willie was in his ear non stop at the Army game about playing together at LSU. Now Phillips is just waiting on him to pull the trigger and make it a reality.

247 lists him as the #9 safety. That's where I got the rankings. Regardless, he's going to be a great one.

Outstanding job by O and after seeing our tigers come out and dominate the bowl game along with O locking up Canada and Aranda and now this class looking to close so strong during a coaching change.. Well all I can say is I should apologize for melting over not getting Herman & jimbo. Because even though it's early O is killing it in all aspects as our HC so far. Maybe it changes but my feeling is we have the right man in charge. We could see a dabo type situation whn he was hired at Clemson leaving so many Clemson fans melting. But now look at em. I hope O gets Lsu back to Atlanta soon !! I'm starting to believe !!!

Seems to be MSU & Mom vs LSU & Willie.

I'm just glad Tigers got Phillips. Gay would be gravy.

Really good gravy.

I think the staff knows who's in at this point for the most part. I'd doubt it's nearly as "uncertain" as it looks to us

The fact that we could end up with the #1,3, and 4 DTs is outstanding.

Delpit's 24/7 recruiting profile shows him as the #4 safety by 24/7 and composite #9.

You are correct. I was looking at composite. I really love this class and look forward to the next big commit.

With Coach O (& Jenkins) and Aranda onboard, I EXPECT Top 10 DT recruits regularly now.

Call me greedy.

AGREED. Coaching changes, staff changes (additions/subtractions), change of recruiting coordinator, late 'official visits' etc.....GREAT effort across the board.

LSU is filling NEEDS this cycle, and with 3-4 more key additions (hopefully there will be more), you have to classify this recruiting cycle as a WIN.

To me, if we can get Wilson and Chaisson and hold the rest, it will be successful, no matter how the final four work out.
Wilson and Chaisson are potential stars, as is Phillips.
