Does Ole Miss have a decent receiver or running back? We need immediate depth at those positions!

Well, when the NCAA comes down on OM, I think they can go wherever they choose unless implicated, which I doubt any of them will be. Cannot say I'm sure on the aforementioned statement.

It's up to the coaches. The player is allowed to transfer to any school he chooses and play after sitting out a year. Unless, of course, he has already graduated. However, a lot of coaches put limitations on where student athletes can transfer before releasing them from their scholarship. This article explains it pretty well

Regular transfer rules wouldn't apply if they are hit with major NCAA violations.

This is true under normal circumstances or if ole miss was under a one year bowl ban.

However, since they are under a two year bowl ban, players can transfer wherever they please and can play immediately. That is why Ole Miss fans are crapping bricks, they know the flood gates are open.

The difference in impact for a one-year bowl ban and a two-year bowl ban is stark, as a two-year ban triggers an NCAA rule that allows players to transfer without having to sit out a year at their new school.

I understand that is the case with major NCAA violations. My response was more in regards to the Phelon Jones comment and people referencing other SEC players transferring in normal situations.

We have Lowell who will compete this fall for possibly starting QB, but more likely to be the primary backup. I am not forgetting about Scott and McMillan, and I could see bringing in Scott in specific situations, and McMillan right now would be my backup, and could come in if Etling struggles. However, like I said, Lowell is ready physically, question is can he be ready mentally by the fall. I noticed both Lowell and Brennan both have great confidence, which is what we have been lacking at QB. We always have a QB that fits the bill athletically, but we have had bad luck with QB's not being able to step up and play well under pressure.

Oh and who is SP from OM

Not yet. But it will be. One yearr is for what currently has been found and proven. There are still other things surfacing, what they "currently" are getting punishment for is not the whole picture, more is coming.

I think the smart thing for him to do is take a red shirt and make absolutely sure those ACL's are as strong as possible.

Take a page from the Eric Monroe playbook and get your body as healthy as possible before playing against the SEC.

I guess Ole Urine payed him more? I can't think of any other reason for him to choose them over LSU.

It's dirty. I hope they make an example out of OM and finally Bama after their next blatant violation.
