Melvin Jones has been my favorite recruit in this class for some time, even since before he was offered, he was the main LA guy I wanted to get an offer. So, by own metric, I don't consider him a sleeper.

Up until the week of the UA game, I would say Tredavious White had been our biggest sleeper, because he just wasn't getting the respect he deserved.

My final anser is actually Tevin Lawson. He was an early offer at DT, despite playing there sparingly for his HS. But I trust Brick and Chavis' DT evals moreso than any other spot on the roster (especially now that Cooper is gone). They saw something very early on that they could work on with this kid.

Lewis Neal. Undersized DE but is extremely strong, physical, and his motor doesnt stop. He reminds me of Melvin Ingram from USCe now on the Chargers.

Haha I like Melvin Jones alot too. Always thought he was underrated. But Lewis Neal stands out to me for some reason.

Melvin jones. Saw him play several times this year. He's a beast and very athletic. Played qb, punts and lb. very difficult to bring down when he ran the ball. Will be incredible mike lb. moffitt will make him even better. Perfect for Chavis's system.

Andy Dodd is gonna be good too. Offers from Bama and LSU with his size and the athleticism to play TE in HS makes me laugh at his 3 star status.

as a junior melvin jones also played qb and rushed only 94 times but for 1200 yards! wow! 6'3", 246 lbs. potential stud linebacker. i can get pretty excited about this.

There are only about four guys in this class who could possibly be considered sleepers. Everyone else is either very highly rated or has a blue chip offer sheet. Way better than Bama's class in that respect.

Hard to name a favorite for this. To us most of the kids aren't sleepers becauwse we know they're good but nationally, I believe most of our class are sleepers.

Dodd-only from our perspective because he never gets the talk that Boutte and Pocic do

Neal-he's the ultimate sleeper and based purely on his ranking the obvious answer. I think he's gonna be a major impact guy

Patterson-so many physical gifts. If he develops....

Lawson-pure raw nastiness inside this one. Great size and athletic ability. If all of our DTs reach their peak in potential, I think he would be the best of the group

Jones-no clue why he doesn't get more love from rankings. His size/athleticism/football skills package is one of the rarest you'll ever see. Travesty that he doesn't get pumped up like other kids do

Jefferson-the forgotten man. It seems as though everyone forgot that he was the guy most pegged as tops in the state(along with Diarse) when this cycle started. He didn't lose any of that talent

Melvin Jones

Keep him away from the cheeseburgers and he'll be fine, so long as he stays good academically.

Or, better yet, show him the road to Fat Cow and Burgersmith, then also show him the road to the D-tackle room. I think he's a Supersize meal short of being a D-tackle already. Looks about 260 to me. I could see him being the quickest 280-pound DT in the country, if he moves there and embraces it.

I'm joking about the burgers. But I think he can bulk up to 280 or so with quality weight and still be lean, quick and powerful.

His calves are fricking huge and his arse is huger. To me, his body type screams for him to put his hand down in the mud and embrace being a linemen instead of fighting his body's natural inclination to put on weight so he can remain agile enough to play LB and maybe even DE.

I think Tevin Lawson. Very under the radar but early this season and last season he had a ton of tackles for Dlineman. With good coaching and a college conditioning program, I think he could be a top 5 DT in the conference. If you can get that out of arguably your lowest rated recruit for the year, and youre doing pretty well as a talent evaluator.
