Who is Slade Bolden? The kid is a 5'8" WR. Remember what happened to the last short little WR LSU had 2 years ago who was supposed to be All-World!

Sad to thing that west Monroe has gone to Bama almost entirely now. Glad I don't approve of that side of the river anyhow

He appears to be a good 3-4 inches taller than Saban in the photo that I just saw. I'd say he's closer to 5'10", brah.

All of you saying this doesn't hurt LSU must have never seen the kid play in person. Yeah he's a little smaller than you'd like but he just has that it factor. Kids an animal and you will all see when he's all conference at bama

Bolden can play. I've seen him plenty, just as I've seen just about all the great players that have come through this area since the 1980's. Problem is that many of these kids have seen Alabama win 4 titles during their middle school and high school years, and LSU none. Bolden was faced with the potential of LSU vs the reality of Bama. I get it, even though I hate Bama and most Bama fans. But, Slade didn't ask for my opinion.

Understood LSU fans are butt hurt. I get it. If you have a chance to watch the kid play this fall, don't miss the opportunity. He brings a special skill set to the field that you just don't see that often. Prepared to receive downvotes, proceed.

His official measurements when he went to Alabama was 5'10 3/4 and 197. But not sure if I believe that

Well, I watched his junior highlights and it's pretty impressive. The kid can obviously play.
On the other hand, I took a look at Provens tape and it looks very similar. Big play after big play, long run after long run. Pretty similar ht + wt profile as well.
Seems like a wash

If I recall correctly, WM Coach Arledge is a big Coah O fan and was one of the first to call him when he got the HC job at LSU. Arledge coached Orgeron at Northwestern. I also know that the OC at WM is a LSU fan over all other schools. Right now, LSU is just a tough sell when you have Bama laying out the red carpet for a player. Until LSU stabilizes itself, they are going to miss on some quality players.
Bolden will be a productive slot receiver/punt returner at the collegiate level. He is a quality kid and possesses some intangibles that you can't measure with a tape. Hate that he did not choose LSU but best of luck to him ... all but once or twice a year!
