The bama OC coached TE not WR
Except from 2002 to 2005 when he was the WR coach. Doesn't matter. Even when he was the TE coach he was there and was hands on. He sees the potential in Bolden. Canada doesn't. We will find out who is right. If he ends up at Alabama I hope he has 400 catches and 45 TDs. I just hope none of them come against LSU.

Slade Bolden won't get any playing time at Alabama he is wasting his time. He wouldn't have got much playing time here either! His hype train is off the rails, truly!
With the players that Alabama brings in I would be shocked if they hold their promise to him with that scholly!

Les Miles and Coach Stud are the ones that started ignoring West Monroe and Monroe. That goes back to around 2008 or so and we it in the recruiting. It also didnt help that WM coach Don Shows really pushed LSU and why and if Coach Arledge is a question someone from WM can answer.

The real reason LSU didn't view Slade as a priority is because of the targets they're still after at slot WR, mainly Lawrence Leys III and Justin Watkins. They're going to get at least one of these guys and possibly both. Add to that LSU's other WR targets and Bolden was the odd man out.

I don't know - I guess LSU feels that there's not as much talent in this area anymore? They certainly don't put in nearly as much time here as they once did. I'm like all of the other WM posters in this thread and hopes that Bolden goes to TCU.

Completely disagree. The OC has a plan for the guy already and they have a couple very good qbs! Past couple years they have had players similar to bolden with half of his talent leading the team most weeks. He will be one we hate to face if he ends up at bama

My nephew lives in Ruston and he was originally from down here in South Louisiana. I was up there about 2 weeks ago and asked him what was the feeling about LSU in the Ruston, Shreveport and Monroe area and he said other than a few Tiger fans here and there it is pretty much anti-LSU big time!

Yeah but that's delusional LA Tech fans. Same problem they have in Lafayette.

Yeah, never a guarantee you going to get those guys but that's just life in CFB recruiting. Bird in hand isn't always better than bird and bush. Also, Bolden was never a "bird in hand". Even if LSU had "showed him more love" you have to think LSU's staff has in the back of their mind that TCU has an equal shot. So the idea of it was a risk to spurn Bolden for Keys can be wrong; LSU might have saw it as a bigger risk to spurn Keys for Bolden with TCU lurking. And the fact that he made 1 visit to Bama and then was talking them top-3 until he eliminated LSU (within days) didn't help with that idea. I'd guess LSU is thinking the chances with Keys is higher when you factor in both TCU and Bama, regardless of who is better.
And Bama will likely use him; or you can't discount it. It's technically their third OC in 3 games or something. There's no telling what they are planning and they still have Hurts to go with a motion-misdirection offense. Not saying 100% they will, but you can't rule it out.
I do hope LSU's confidence in relations in NLA is valid. Because the one problem I see here is pipeline. LSU still gets the pick of the litter volume wise. And despite perception TCU, A&M, or Bama do not have "pipelines". But such things require "maintenance". Charlie Brown and Don Shows days are gone. Who is to say things aren't in transition now.

You act like Monroe has one eye doctor..
Yet he went to West Monroe.
There is not a single Alabama fan teaching, coaching, or influencing that I can possibly think of coming from West Monroe.
These kids are obviously getting an ear ful from Bama recruiters that sounds a lot better than what LSU has to offer??
I remember when Cam committed, everybody in school knew already, because he had been driving a new z71 for a week with Georgia temp tags.

WTF is it with all those Monroe-area kids shunning LSU?
Maybe all of the coonasses always thinking of Monroe as "not part of Louisiana"????
Edit for examples: "West Mississippi" "south Arkansas"

If Monroe was thought of as not apart of Louisiana, wouldn't that mean that it was thought of as part of Louisiana?
Or are you just ignorant to the difference between "apart" and "a part"?

Not ignorant, non-caring? Yes.

I am convinced that there are many Bama lurkers on here who just love to mention Bama or Saban every single day...

Why so many downvotes? Truth hurts.
Obviously these kids are feeling as if they aren't as wanted at LSU vs Bama or TCU (the two powerhouses that consistently pull north Louisiana's big croots).
I know it's easy to throw sideways jokes at the area because it so consistently stomps south Louisiana's arse. But to sit back and call them "rednecks" "hicks" or whatever you please and then get butt hurt when the area's recruits leave, is retarded.
Sure, there is a lot of tiger blood up there. But these athletes growing up in the area just don't have it in them anymore it seems.

You've already stated that you don't care that what you wrote means the exact opposite of what you intended to write.
So how do you know what in the hell they're downvoting anyway?

NOT what I said I didn't care about. I didn't care I had made a grammatical error likely without realizing.
Nonetheless it doesn't matter. What's been stated is a fact. These kids have felt as if they grow up in their own state : being "North Louisiana"
Their loyalty no longer lies with LSU. Now what needs to be done to change this?
(Stick to answering questions vs grammar correcting, it makes you not look like such a prude)
Edit : against my pride I edited the original post for the clarification of future readers, NOT because you corrected me, so take that
