Yeah that's what I said...he feared Shea could've been a possible target for kidnappings...and sorry I didn't quote Bachman word for word but that's what he was implying...he was meant to go to IMG to spread the word of Christ.... which is hilarious.

Yeah I received several pics from the 7v7 there and Cam was everywhere it seemed.

Now he knows how the rest of the state feels lol... I kind of like this Craig Victor/Shea Patterson trend if it brings the biggest powerhouses back to the pack a little.

I assume this place isn't like a regular school where kids wait their turn, and may not get significant PT until they're seniors. They go there to get showcased, not to sit on the bench and wait for the upperclassmen to graduate. I wonder what the QB who expected to be the starter is thinking right now. Conversely, is Patterson expecting to go in there and have the job handed to him or will there be an actual competition?

As someone stated upthread, they're not their to win championships, they're there to get ready for the next level, and eventually the League. Every ball that gets handed to a RB is a ball that doesn't get thrown to a WR who wants highlights for his recruiting video, and vice versa. Those guys may spend 12 hours a day together, but I wonder how much actual team chemistry can be in a situation like that.

It was stated somewhere in the thread that the starting QB got "pushed out" of the school.

People are saying Calvary is getting what they deserve...well, they're not feeling sorry for their self. They're back to back state champions and plan on winning a 3rd. Do not under estimate them. Team is loaded.

I don't recall his exact quote, but Cam Cameron commented recently about not needing players that require you to deal with interfering parents...

Dallas Jackson in his preview of FL high school football ranked IMG 5th in Florida for the preseason with the comment "Frontline talent unmatched. Depth could be an issue." 3 of the 4 schools ahead of them are actually public schools.

I wonder if its just Shea moving to Sarasota like a boarding school? Or if his parents are going to? Because, if its just him moving without his parents... Then I'm very happy for him. And also if there is a lot of mentorship that can help him with dealing with the kind of parent Sean is, then I'm also happy for him.

Kinda sucks for his teammates who were wanting to go for a 3peat with Shea.... But maybe they'll pull together and still make....

That makes sense. No one wants to go there and ride the pine. Big public schools have a constant talent pool to pull from and it's always 9-12 or 10-12. IMG is basically just getting seniors to transfer in. Who would ever want to put in time there as an underclassman when you'll just get recruited over every year?

Even the schools that bring in kids don't try to get every single kid in one class. They get a few each year and spread out the depth. And supplement it with the people that would be going to those schools anyway.

t was stated somewhere in the thread that the starting QB got "pushed out" of the school.

I've seen a couple of things, but I think this one might be the likely answer.

One was he left because he came there to play in a pro style offense and prepare for FSU. When Weinke got hired as the QB coach of the Rams, they implemented a modern spread offense (don't ask me which one, I don't know).

I can kind of believe this one the most because he was going to IMG to prepare himself for FSU. It would be like an early, EARLY entrant to FSU. With his talent and full year of preparedness, he'd be more like a redshirt freshman or true sophomore once he hit the college campus.

Maybe it ties in though. After they lost their 'face' at QB, Patterson became the new guy.

with their tuition being what it is, they have to bring in the rich Stanford-Northwestern-Vandy type of kids who can pay the full freight behind their blue-chip starters, but then those kids pay the full tuition and don't see the field much

their business model works with some kids brought in for free, but not all and not none, bc they need the talent to look legit to other talent.
