If you were given the choice between Franks and Shea, who'd you honestly choose? I'd pick Franks 10/10 right now. 2 years ago, I'd pick Shea, but Franks has come a longgg way and appears to have a great head on his shoulders to go with elite natural size and talent.

I agree with this statement in terms of intangibles, physical stature, etc but there is no denying Shea is a student of the game and being educated on football by his brother.

We don't have the best track record either besides Perrilloux and an SEC Championship......Miles recruited qbs share the same fate.

Right, but no one here is sitting around saying how awesome anyone will be at LSU, but blowing Freeze because Patterson is going to be great when there is no track record to suggest that.

He's gonna do well at OM.

The way this family has operated thus far, I doubt he ends up at Ole Miss. A move to IMG really makes me think he goes elsewhere when it's all said and done.

No question, Shea. I hate to say it. But I've watched the kid and he's as polished as you can be at that age. He's gonna do well at OM.

I've never seen Franks in person but I've always thought Patterson was slightly overrated. He isn't a senior yet so it's not a fair comparrison yet, but I thought Harris as a senior was more impressive than Shea as a junior.

See that what separates Shea from others, his polish.

Not his natural talent, size, etc.

Polish can be taught, not the other stuff. And its not like Franks is guy that can throw hard but doesn't know how to play football. He is extremely hard working and performs very well at camps. He is in a pro-style system, has NFL height, athleticism, and arm strength.

Both will be successful college QBs. I think Shea is much better suited in Freeze's system though and Franks in ours.

Shea's dad is the most crazy/psycho/no integrity parent I've ever seen. He's pimped Shea and Sean Jr out to the fullest extent. He doesn't have a penny to his name. Shea's a good kid. He DID NOT want to go to IMG. He wanted to go for the 3 peat with his buddies. This has been rumored for 8 months. What makes me mad is that they waited until now to do it. Mr Patterson tried to leverage $ by threatening to leave and he didn't get it.

Don't read the thread? Its a recruiting board and its a kid we recruited that is going to our division rival.

I can't see how Shea is overrated. He just gets it done. It comes so natural and easy. He just as it.

Of course Franks had such a high upside, but he is still a somewhat of a project. Just like the reports from the opening stated, he will make 3 great throws, then throw a ball that skips in the grass.

Absolutely we want the guy who has been loyal and wants to be here.

So how are him and Devin White going to hang out all the time and be best buddies and plan their trips to Oxford and braid each others hair if Patterson isn't in North Louisiana any more?

My biggest fear about Franks is he said John Travolta is his favorite actor at the opening

I read it everyday, what does that have to do with people obsessing over a kid that is not coming here? We got Franks, the other kid has nothing to do with us.

Should have specified!

He also said Jameis was his favorite player but I gave him a pass because he's an awesome player. He didn't say he was his favorite person

Here is the funny part...all of you who are talking crap about this kid will cry a river if Ole Miss beat the Brakes off of LSU with Shea as their starting QB!
