I know we only have one commit playing in this all star game (Deondre Clark) but I was wondering if anyone has heard on how well he has played in the practices? He is one of my favorite recruits in this class. His highlights are pretty impressive! He played a ton of RB for his team and looks extremely athletic for his size (6'3 230).... Hopefully he stays with the Tigers but I would understand 100% if he doesn't because of the health of his mother.. Just wanted to let everyone know the game is tonight at 9pm ET on Fox Sports 1.

After watching the game I figured I would give my two cents on how Clark played. Overall I was very underwhelmed with his performance. I know some people said he was banged up and not 100%, hopefully that was the case. He didn't seem to have any pass rush move other than a straight up bull rush. He lacks any other move than that which obviously won't work at the next level. He does have very good speed for a DE and showed he could run sideline to sideline in pursuit of the football. Basically, the guy is very raw at DE and will do much better once he learns technique and focuses on just playing DE...

He will be a guy that could use a redshirt year and gain some weight and learn technique. He has tremendous athletic ability and hopefully we can get him on campus and his Mom can beat her fight with cancer

Highlights

Dunk!

Yeah I'll try and give some updates during the game on how Deondre does.. Would love for him to go off and get a couple of sacks. He is very underrated IMO.

Been doing some reading on him and he had 22 sacks his junior season and has over 40 sacks in his career...

same.

I think what prompted the article wasn't his Mom or impending NSD.

I think there's some coaching changes/issues at OU that are factoring into this. I'm not sure of the story but I get the impression that a recruiting-coach "dropped the ball", and now that coach is gone. I'm trying to do the basic internet search but I don't have a name for the coach.

Yeah I figured that was the case but I was hoping that he would stay with us anyway. I also heard in a video that his older brother is a basketball player for Okie State which would be another reason for him to stay close to home. He seems like a great kid with a ton of talent and a bright future.. Sucks that his mom has cancer and will probably cause him to stay closer to home which is understandable.

I saw one thing on twitter about him saying that he's a little banged up but still looked great all week as a pass rusher.

I looked up the roster but they haven't listed the players numbers. He's on the white team if that helps

These jerseys are way better than the other All American games

Looks small and overpowered so far. Is he dl or will he transition to lb?

He's DL, could possibly play FB if it doesn't work out. He'd likely get a red shirt so he can get Moffitized! Kid can move though!

Definitely needs at least a couple years in the weight room before he'd be ready. Was getting worked over on the line on that drive. He doesnt look quick out there but the field is in complete shite shape and may be why. Why would they have an all star game on that field?

I don't agree... Once I found out his number I rewound the first series.

He was double on 2 pass plays, unblocked on a zone read play, and he got "caked" because another defender was being blocked behind him which caused him to go down. I wouldn't say he's been "overpowered though"

With such a small sample size tonight he needs to work on technique (not many high school DL have good technique anyway.) and put on some weight. But the athletic ability is obviously there

Agree to disagree. I'll be rooting for him though.
