Was reading a tweet from yesterday I think, Sci's coach mentioned in it he was still trying to figure it out and he'd just turned 17 recently. If so, that makes him a much more intriguing prospect. He could easily have a year of high school left. Most of those kids, by this time, aren't too far from 19. If that's true he could be another high 4* or 5* talent. I mean if he has 34+ sacks two years straight he would definitely be considered a top talent

You do realize he is a senior with no high school eligibility left? It doesn't matter what his age is.

He will be a weapon in Aranda's defense.

D. Hunter was very young as well. Currently the youngest player in the NFL IIRC

Pretty sure what he meant was he may have been a 4* OR 5* talent if he had been a year older going into high school. And that as he continues to physically mature he may exceed the skill/physical level of some or many of the higher rated players that are 19 as a senior in HS.

Not sure if you are confusing him with Caleb Roddy or if this is the case for both, but Caleb Roddy just turned 17.

Would be nice, but he's Bama bound.

you missed the point of the OP. he's a year younger. young people mature and change a lot in one year. the kid is close to two years younger than some others and he will improve over that 2 yr span.

He's not going to Bama, and I wonder what insight our recruiting expert who said so has to say Bama bound? Inside information ?

No, the story released yesterday on Martin was that he was not ready to commit and he had recently just turned 17. I will say that as a parent that would scare the hell out of me having my child that age to run off to school many hours away... I am sure that reality is hitting him in the chest about now too. I think he is wise to think it over.

I agree. If he were my kid, he would be going to prep school for a year.
