So you think LSU is desperate to sign db's? Seriously? He may not be the big name you wanted signed but LSU is just throwing offers out bc they are desperate

Miles is panicking bc he doesn't have a full roster by August.

Exposure and lack there of...

maybe ur right. just thinking objectively about it. these guys jump on these offers and commit quickly because they probably couldn't believe a big school like LSU would offer them and probably wouldn't get another offer like this from anyone else

that's not what im saying. I think the staff may not be as confident in the top recruits committing and that's why the offer the lesser talent.

Give the kid respect... He earned an offer playing against all the 5 star guys you keep blabbing about.

And these posters would be the first to come complain when Santos goes out of state and blows up - why didn't we offer the kid, oh we were waiting on all those 5 stars.

I've been hearing rumblings that ESPN is really pushing for some of the higher profile guys to put their commitments on hold until the All-American games.

I hate ESPN so much.

I'm surprised that we're taking ~7 DBs. Do we need that many? We currently have 20 DBs on the roster. We are only losing 1 to graduation before these guys arrive. That means we'll have 26 DBs on the roster, with 18-20 of them on scholarship. Isn't that a lot?

there will be some attrition and early exits to the draft

Or the staff coaches SEC caliber players and knows what it takes to play at this level. When you see a kid in a practice setting over the course of 2-3 days, you get a really good idea if he has the potential to play at an SEC level.

That's partially correct. Yeah they want to join before their spot is taken. Many should take note of this bc that's how it is. However, the fact of the matter is, this guy came to camp and went up against the likes of;
Deshawn Raymond
Saeed blacknall
Cj Morgan
Dylan Moses
Speedy noil
Trey Quinn
Malachi Dupree

On top of that there were some good DBs out there as well. That tells me he camped pretty good to get an offer with all those studs there.

Some people need to step away from the ledge and chill out. Every year we have lesser known guys earn an offer at camp. Guys like Tyrann were relatively unknown until they blew up on the camp circuit.

I trust the coaches to evaluate these guys when they are playing against their peers. Not everyone goes to the weekly 6 v. 6 camps.
