Tigers have other elite '19 guys coming to campus today.
The Chase might stretch out a bit more...

Ja’Marr Chase and his family were scheduled to sit down with Mickey Joseph and members of the LSU coaching staff on Friday. I’m told Chase will not make the trip to Baton Rouge on Friday, but has not completely ruled out making a visit this weekend. It’s still up in the air, according to sources, but Chase did not like the backlashed he received from the Florida coaching staff.
He's such a poor writer, it's hard to grasp what he's even trying to say in that last sentence. He is now mad that the uf coaches are mad or he is scared to visit bc he doesn't want to anger their coaches.

McElwain could always just go hump another shark to deal with his anger

The dude pumps out tweets, stories and crystal ball picks, but they are always appear thrown together. Comes off more fanboy than journalist.

I was wondering if Florida had gotten in his ear not to visit. That's some insecure bush league thinking if you ask me, and would raise a red flag with me if I was a recruit.
Also, it's not even always a bad thing. I mean, remember when Kary Vincent took his visit to Texas the same weekend as Chaisson, and was in his ear the entire weekend about coming to LSU?

He likes to list everything in the first paragraph then repeat it 3 times in the article like it's going to be so poignant that 4th time at the end. He wrote some article about some recruit dealing with Katrina as a kid that was so bad.

But he was the only saying Chaisson to LSU when every LSU paid site was saying other wise. He and Details put out things these paid site mods are afraid to put out.

Seems to be using the 3rd grade writing formula:
Thesis sentence
- Point 1
- Point 2
- Point 3
Point 1
- Supporting Evidence, etc.
Point 2
- Supporting Evidence, etc.
Etc. etc. etc.

Makes perfect sense to me. Maybe it's your reading comprehension.
I dont know when it got so cool on the RB to bash free reporting, but some of you guys are ridiculous. Sounds to me like you keep up to date with his stuff, but complain about it.
Why not ignore him, and not post negatively on free information? Sam repeats the word bevy over and over again, like Coach O with tremendous, but I ignore it because he doesnt charge a subscription fee and he by far puts out more interviews and free information than all the other sources combined.
You guys used to hate on Jimmy too, but now have a new target. I don't care if he is a fanboy, has perfect grammar, or understands what proper syntax is - he has new articles up multiple times a day - new informative interviews - and most importantly keeps his information free without damn slide shows.
Some of you c*nts need to stock up on tampons and stop the bitching.

See this is why I could never be a good recruiter. I could never call a kid and give them the old 'I thought we were best friends' speech to get them from going to other visits.
I'd get so tired of dealing with 17 year olds I'd lose my mind. Hell, I get tired of dealing with adults sometimes.

He also started the lsu is being boycotted drama which forced lsu to hire Mickey Joseph. He was against coach O. Were you torn on who to support blindly on that one? count

He did not start it, the nola coaches told him those things. Sam jumped the gun when he should have kept that under wraps. If anything, he could have strengthened trust and connections with the staff by informing them behind closed doors.
I do not blindly support, or blindly detract. I believe in a grey area for sure. You are the miserable shite that is leading the charge for the blind haters.
His information is free, he seems passionate, and works harder putting out more free information than I have seen anywhere else. Since I dont want to pay for subscriptions with agendas every month, I can appreciate it enough to give him a pass on some of his imperfections.
You want to bully someone in the media, who cannot defend himself without doing it in poor taste (like Jimmy used to try to do when the board would crucify him). He doesnt have to be a literary perfectionist, what are you, some kinda sports writer snob? Who gives a damn how well he writes?
If he puts out free interviews and some inside scoop on new recruits (and especially without ridiculous slide shows), I think I can give him a pass on bevy, his repetitive recaps, and some of his fanboyishness.
You are just a miserable frick with 1st world entitlement issues.
"I'm better than everyone cause I complain about how difficult it is to continually read something I dont like then have to go to an online forum to express my hurt feelings."
It's ridiculous - of all the shite to complain about - at least we aren't A&M and had to put up with Hamm all these years...

quote:It's very common. And whether or not a staff wants to approach it that way is rarely "policy", it depends on the recruit. For someone like Chase that committed [seemingly] on a whim to UF (instead of TCU like many thought), UF definitely wants to isolate him until he firms up.
I was wondering if Florida had gotten in his ear not to visit. That's some insecure bush league thinking if you ask me, and would raise a red flag with me if I was a recruit.

Later in the process is when you'll see recruits do like Guice did where he "opened up" to take visits. Sometimes to try and get better rankings, sometimes to get certain visits, sometimes just because. But often it's planned and the recruit is firm.
LSU's goal will be to get to him before he becomes firm. And if he cancels enough visits or similar, they will take another approach because it will look like too hard of a sale.
Don't forget, OM was paying to get recruits to cancel visits. It's a big part of reeling kids in. The whole "last visit thing". I don't blame UF, but it's kind of way early to be doing that IMHO.

Really can't believe the hate Sam Spiegs gets on here. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Just societal entitlement issues man. It's a world full of people without real struggles or issues, so they find the dumbest stuff to complain about. It's always the loud ones that influence the masses, and people with sense usually just sit on the sidelines and keep to themselves because its respectful.
I can't stand it. It reminds me of when I go to LSU games, and "LSU fans" buy tickets only to bitch and moan for three hours deriding everything from the players, the coaching, and the play calls. I can understand some of the referee backlash, but grown men spending three hours to disrespect student athletes are just plain trash.
Bloody their nose once and they will never do it again because at heart they are just cowards

You are a delusional weirdo who thought this guy asking people if they knew hs kids who wanted a discount to participate in a camp was offering you a personal invite to carpool and meet recruits and take their pictures for your own pleasure. Probably the weirdest post in this board's history.

would so be down. Wife does professional photography, and is practicing videography, and we could have made a good trip out of this, but we postponed celebrating fathers day, so we are going down to lafitte this day to picnic and take out the boat.
Hope some other recruiting junkies jump on this offer, would be a blast. Have fun, and if possible try to take some candid shots, and bring back some good stories.
You'd probably bloody all their noses if they didn't take your pics since you are such a tough old school badass.

My wife is a photographer who is training to be a videographer. Arkytiger offered tickets to see the all star game, and I commented that I wish I could go, so we could take pictures and practice her new craft.
There is nothing wrong with people trying to be involved and making normal connections in having relationships.
You should unplug with your condescending delusion, and try out the real world every now and then.
Or maybe not, it's actually probably a better idea to limit your damage by keeping you indoors.
Searching through my post history and trying to detract from the point that you clearly lost cause you are a Maxipus bitch.
I stand by that post. Arkytiger and I are cool, so no problems with what I posted at all. I think it says more about you that you researched it, and that was the best retort you could respond with.

I dunno probably
You are a miserable shut-in full of dysfunction and negativity searching my past post history to make yourself feel better.
I'm glad you could call out Sam and me, talk about your feelings on your own turf with your entire life and your sole social interactions.
Bet you feel like a winner now

He offered high school campers a discount to a camp, stupid.
I didn't have to research it. I remembered it off hand as one of the scariest, most delusional things I'd ever read. Imagine how fun the car ride could have been with you getting candids of high school boys. You could have told them how tough you were and recounted stories where you bloodied noses.
