Seriously, if Paris commits (we already have a verbal from Voorhies) that gives us two safeties in this class. I can't see us taking another safety. Now, if Paris doesn't (appears to be a heavy LSU lean) then Jones will be a priority. JMO!

Jones can play cb or S. As can Paris. Both will end up at Safety but it is not a given. Jones should always be a priority imo

There is an article out there where Paris said he's strictly CB. He won't consider schools that want him at safety.

Voorhies is apparently heading to the offensive side of the ball.

So.....need safeties.

Sure, several recruits can play several positions on paper. Voorhies is being recruited as a safety as well as Paris. Tony Brown(another LSU lean) and perhaps Adoree Jackson(speaks very favorably of DBU) are true corner recruits. At least that's how it's playing out now. No question, Jones is a high quality DB. However, if we pull in Voorhies, Paris, Brown & Jackson (that's 2 corners & two safeties) Jones may be a free agent. I am not saying not to recruit Jones heavily. It's a long way to go before NSD '14!

Silly thought process. You can always make room for ELITE talents like Hootie.

Idiots.... Hootie is a 5 star or high 4 and y'all saying he could be expendable.. good thing you don't recruit

CLM has it all under control. That's why he gets the big bucks!

Lots of things to consider here. This is why Miles, Chavis & Raymond are paid well & expected to use their judgement & talent evaluation skills to determine how many DB's LSU should sign in this class, realizing there are also good prospects already here in the 2 previous recruiting classes, though not as strong as the group in the 2014 class.

Also, will having his former Neville teammate, John Diarse--already at LSU--play any role in trying to recruit Jones?

I thought we were looking at taking 6 DBs like 3 safeties and CBs. And staff said Voorhies was being recruited as WR, his position of choice.

Les said that safety is a top need in next year's class. We are looking to take 6 DBs and Les mentioned he would like 2-3 corners.
