I find myself wondering if the Torshiro Davis switcharoo will directly affect Ronnie Feist. Does he now project to DE?

Feist played on the line in high shool and was projected to fit at LB at LSU. However, with Alexander, Jones, Phillips, Louis, and Granier in the fold, does Feist now get a look at DE?

He's a bit on the smallish side now 6'1"-6'2" and about 225 or so, but he looks comfortable at the end position in his film. I think he performed well at the LB position in the UAAA game, but does need push him to DE?

Also, if he stays at linebacker, where does be fit in Chavis' scheme? Is he an every down MLB like Minter/Sheppard or a big WLB like Riley?

Are any of these guys "inside" guys? Who can play the middle?

Judging from tidbits here and there, the staff likes Louis and Granier at MLB. They're going to give Jones a crack at OLB, although they haven't ruled him out at MLB (and that's where he wants to play). With Jones, I think the staff would want to see him 20 pounds heavier or so before moving him inside.

I think he bulks up and it will be a battle between him and Granier for MLB.

All his film has him with his hand in the dirt.

You never know though.

well minter is probably as big as mont. or mingo.
so I guess he could fit the mold for both. we really need mb though.

Lsu is still 9-10 deep at de with 2 senior. I know SM99 comes out after next year but This will not affect where Feist starts IMO.

My guess based on reading and knowing attributes needed at each LB position.
WLB: Phillips, Louis
MLB: Feist, Granier
SLB: Kwon, Debo
This LB class is ridiculous.

de position.

sr. edwards, aghayere
off to pros, mont. mingo

left after next year.
rasco, maclin, j. allen

incoming fresman, hunter

might want to give feist a look at de. depending on how staff feel about maclin/allen

I have a feeling Mingo may stick around for his senior year if he doesn't already have his degree by then.

That's what I'm thinking too. Not sure why everyone thinks Mingo goes early.

I definitely think Mingo sticks around another year, unless he gets a lot of hype as a 3-4 OLB. I'm sure that's where he projects, but it could affect his draft stock, since he hasn't played it before.
