He was 8 of 15 for 90 yards and 1 interception and rushed for a TD. link to stats.

He is going to be a project. LSU definitely needs to get a JC QB, or someone game ready for '12. I don't think he will be ready to lead an LSU offense by then and will need some seasoning.

But seriously, do yall think he would come here and Les would sit a senior 3 yr starter to play him?

Your simply out of touch with reality if you think LM will make that move, no matter how good he is.

We don't need him to start next year.... he can sit out and learn from our new OC... I think this is it for Crowton

talked to an old man in destin, and he was from athens, and congratulated me on getting River ( i was wearing lsu stuff) Said h was a great kid, and that his stats wont be that great this year because every receiver with a catch graduated.

With the line and weapons Rivers will have here, he won't be putting up numbers like that

Every 17 year old kid is a project so I have no idea why you guys think that a true freshman would start or why you think he is not a very strong prospect. Rivers has great potential. Mettenberg is a huge opportunity for a more mature guy to come in an potentially start right away.

uhhh, rivers has the worst stats i've ever seen on a highly recruited kid. offensive line or not, a qb has to make plays with the hand he is dealt.

Thats a dumbass statement. He has no OL at all, and his WRs can't catch a cold. How the frick can he be successful genius?

I'd rather see what he could do with a bad o-line and bad WRs than gamble with a QB whose stats are inflated by poor competition or awesome players around him.

Jr college QBs rarely make it. The reason they have to go to a JR college is bad grades. Do you really want a dumb QB? The QB needs to be one of the smatest players on the team.
