We have our coaching staff

Right now we have a top 10 recruiting class at worse.

Maybe we land a few guys and turn this coaching change and turmoil into a very good class.

This staff needs to land as many power recruits as they can, the skilled players will follow. LSU has to start concentrating on Linemen, linebackers and the fast guys will always be there. Historically we get the fast guys and the power recruits we need to work on.

The new staff needs to prove themselves with a offense that will attract QB's to lead this team

You would really want Devonta over Cam Akers? We're loaded at receiver man. After Guice leaves next year who is our bell cow runningback? Nick Brossette and Lanard Fournette?

By the way, I think Brossette is a really good runningback and will be good for us. We just need more than one good back.

No order, like the list and add Ealy/OT, Chaisson/DE and another LB. Call it a top 3-5 class, and move forward towards offseason workouts and spring practices.

As far as "must get" in this class I would say

Wilson
Mathis
Narcisse
1 more ILB (Gay, Phillips, Ignont, Taylor)
1 more OLB (Chaisson or Bryant)

Anyone else is icing on the cake. Akers would be huge but we always end up with good running backs. We will be ok there with or without him.

yeah I dont think so either. I can wish though. I also think we split mathis and wilson but it would still be a win for us.

Most likely one of these, imo.

If we manage to finish in the top 5 I'd say that's about as smooth a transition as possible.

If we finish top 3, It will be pretty incredible. Especially if we land Wilson and Akers.

Maybe (and I mean MAYBE) Fisher would've been able to land a class like that if he would have been tabbed. Otherwise, I think we're looking at 11 or 12 range, even with Herman.

Hopefully O can field a great team next year and be (or at least look) competent in handling them.

I'm just ready for signing day to be over. I should've never started following recruiting. Too much emotion for the "off season."

Wilson- DT
Akers- RB
Chaisson- OLB
Jordan Anthony- ILB or Gay
Mathis- DE
Smith- WR
Sarell- OT or Ealy
?- Best Center available (hand pick a true center)

These 2 extra OL picks would solidify a troubling weak spot for us lately, teaming them with the 4 current commits like Deculus and Ingram we would be set at OL. Sarell is the highest rated OL on Rivals (#3 overall) and uncommitted.

Wilson and Mathis to go with the 2 Bama studs gives us 4 more horses to go with Ed Alexander, Rashard Lawrence and Logan from last year. That would solidify our DL for 3 years. Would be the most dominant line in CFB.

Chaisson (Key/Mingo clone) and either LB would add to Rice and Queen and we are done there.

The big boys are the key and finishing with the above would make us title contenders in 2018. Further to that Moffit needs to perform or he is out as we need some new younger blood in that weight room and overall strength program. He has been there too long!

Some beef on both sides of the ball, a couple of LBers and Cam Akers. Running back depth in the future is getting thin.

That's my thought as well. I think we end up with Phillips in the end tho. There was an article on sec country with ignont and I think LSU pissed him off by not pressing for him when Moses and Allen were still on the table. He said something along the lines of "I'm not decommitting because LSU knows what they want now"

Good to know. I'd be happy with either of those fellas. Aranda will make whoever ends up at LSU one hell of a player.

The recent recruiting of WRs seems chaotic...back and forth..in and out...
