Good recap from Sam Spiegelman at sec country.

K’Lavon Chaisson was the center of attention for numerous LSU coaches, including defensive coordinator Dave Aranda. The four-star defensive end, who projects as an outside linebacker in LSU’s 3-4 defense, did not participate in drills today, but did so last year when he picked up his offer from the Tigers coaches. Aranda spent much of the afternoon talking with the Houston native, who will be on LSU’s campus all weekend long after multiple trips to Baton Rouge, La., in the spring.

Five-star wide receiver Devonta Smith also received plenty of attention on Thursday. The Amite (La.) High School product spent parts of the afternoon speaking with running backs coach Jabbar Juluke and LSU quarterback commit Myles Brennan. Smith did not participate in drills either, but the LSU coaches know what the elite in-state prospect can do, which is why they spent so much of the spring recruiting him.

Brennan was a surprise guest at the LSU camp, but the quarterback impressed in days following the Elite 11 competition. The Bay Saint Louis, Miss. product showed off a strong arm and outstanding touch during position drills and in one-on-ones with the wide receivers. He also spent time with current LSU quarterback Brandon Harris and Cameron throughout the day.

Trenton Charles 2018 RB from Scotlandville ran a 4.4 40. He's already got offers from TCU, Arizona St and Arizona just to name a few

Three-star defensive end/outside linebacker Chris Turner was one of the in-state prospects SEC Country was told could garner an offer and possibly commit this weekend. The Hammond (La.) High School pass-rusher was the topic of conversation during last week’s satellite camp in New Orleans for Orgeron and Les Miles, and on Thursday was worked out by Aranda in a private session. Turner could play either defensive end or outside linebacker, and is expected to work out as a stand-up backer throughout the weekend at the camp.

A new local name we can look forward to recieveing an offer. 6'4 225 is perfect LB size. 247

Jimmy has been writing about Dutchtown DB Adam Sparks impressing the staff at the New Orleans satellite camp. Hopefully he picks up an offer too. 247
