I noticed in this quote that James Willis was Cotton's area recruiter. It goes on to say that Willis was the LB coach, and of course Cotton was a quarterback. Is it normal for position coaches to recruit players that they will not be directly coaching? I guess by "area" coach, they recruit all of the players in that spcific area and not just the players for the position they coach. Can someone clarify this for me? Thanks...
