Their offense still pulled off a win and 300 rushing yards in the bowl game against North Carolina

645 rushing yards, to be exact

Idk why you getting some downvotes but I'm 100% with you. Baylor was my favorite offense to watch in the past year's. No one spaced their receivers like they did. And that created WIDE open lanes for the run game and also left DBs on an island in the deep passing game. Idk what the coaching situation is right now at Baylor, but I'll miss watching the Art Briles offense.

People still love this stale pro style offense and hate anything spread.

Kendal Briles is 33 years old and knows the spread like the back of his hand.

Went through 3 QBs this year
1st Year Starter - averaged over 8.2 ypc and 10.5 ypa with 2500 total yards and 35 total TDs in 7 games
True Freshman Backup - had nearly 69% cmp with 1265 pass yards (ridiculous 11.8 ypa) 12 TDs to 2 ints with another 70 rush yards and 2 TDs. He did that as a backup and started 3 games while winning two. Two of them were against teams that finished in the top 20 and top 5).
Sophomore - they moved him to WR earlier and had to move him back to QB and he did not impress.

Lost the best or second best WR in the nation
Had nearly 1000 yards and 18 TDs with the starting QB and had nearly 1200 yards and 20 TDs in his 1st 8 games. Injuries by him and his QBs made him non existent in the late rounds.

Lost the 3rd best RB in the conference
Lost a 1350+ yard RB that averaged almost 6.8 ypc with 10 TDs.

And he STILL somehow managed to put out gaudy offense in the bowl game. This was his 1st year as an OC.

LSU lost Mett in 2013 and Jennings and the offense looked like hot garbage (minus Hill's rushing performance), vs a mediocre Iowa team. It has since looked like great RBs and hot garbage everywhere else on offense the past 2 years.

Every time we go after these old arse OCs with no imagination. How about we pump some excitement into the offense? Bama is scared shitless when they face a good spread team. Oklahoma and Ohio State back to back bowl losses and a tough bout where they needed a shite ton of broken coverages and onside kicks to win against another gaudy spread offense in Clemson. Don't forget the back to back losses vs Ole Miss where the QBs of Ole Miss combined for 592 pass yards (56.2%), 9.25 ypa (both averaged over 8.0), 6 TDs (3 a piece), 0 ints, and another 50 rush yards and 1 TD.

LSU has the pieces to make an offense like that go from year one, and it doesn't require the QB to be NFL level or have much experience. It's also Bama's kryptonite.

I would love to see us have offensive success like they have with both the run and pass.. but please spare me the difference in competition stuff.

Why? Are houses in California better than ones in TX b/c they are more expensive?

Best case scenario, Harris continues to progress. Plays well to very well for two years and hands the job off to either Brennan or Narcisse after winning a ship. However, that's nowhere near a definite and after many years of sub-par QB play, I wouldn't mind more talent at the position.

Not how I would define a best case scenario...

Do I believe Les would go for it? Hell no.

Go for what, exactly? Bringing in a transfer QB? Nah No way he would do something like that. Bringing in talent at the position. No, you're right, don't see him going for that either.

Sit out and redshirt in JUCO for a year, go to another Big XII school with 3 years to play 3.

Makes no sense. Why redshirt at a JUCO? Just transfer now and get to practice with your new team for a year and learn the offense. Why go to a JUCO just to redshirt? And if he plays at the JUCO, that costs him a year of eligibility.

Recently read he's looking at LSU, aTm, Auburn, and UF. And the interest with LSU is legit.

LSU and aTm 247 sites. He's going Juco first though so he will have more time to make a decision on which school.

Would be ideal for us. He has great options though.

What class would he be then. A Junior? Plus he's very mobile, decisive, and accurate I believe.

From dictionary.com: idea (noun): an opinion, view, or belief

I think they do have an idea if Stidham has named a few schools already.

Stidham probably doesn't even know where he is going yet, but I bet he has an "idea" of a few schools
