Is one better then the other? I'm guessing we won't take both, so who do we want?

Highlights Of Alexander, before injury were amazing. Phillips hasn't been that Amazing to me, but he's in-state, not injured, and Chavis likes him. They'll probably go with Phillips, and pass on Kwon because of numbers.

Ive been wondering about this. Keep in mind, we only signed one LB last year and he was just dismissed, apparently...
That being said there are a bunch of LBs in this class: Davis, Feist, Granier, Louis, and Debo. Add Phillips and Kwon that makes 7. Perhaps Davis or Feist will play DE.
But between Granier possibly greyshirting and half the LB class redshirting, its not foregone that its one or the other.

Hate to pass on a guy like that. What exactly was the extent of his injury?

Davis is definitely a DE. Fiest could become one too.

Did this ever get confirmed? I really had high hopes for him. He was a linebacker that returned punts in highschool. Perfect Chavis type LBer.

I think Davis or Feist get moved to DE. I'm guessing Feist, just because he looked like one when I saw him at a game.
Also, I doubt Granier ever plays for LSU with his knee injury.

Yea I mentioned Davis and Feist getting moved. And you may be right about Granier, all the more reason to take both Kwon and Phillips IMO

Do we have room for both?

I think it's one or the other and it will be Phillips in this case.

I don't see us taking 2 more LBs, even with the fact we have no LBs left from the 2011 class.

We have plenty of young LBs on the LSU roster as it is, and we certainly have struck it rich in the LB department in this 2012 class already.

Numbers are tight. If Bourque leaves the class because Hill is a take, then maybe we'll take both LBs then. But then we're still taking Howard and Edwards potentially coming on board, pushing us past the limit of 25.

Bourque looks pretty good. Is Hill really better then he is?

Les said in his presser after the first bowl practice that Trevon is no longer with the team. As you would expect, he did not specifically say that he had been dismissed.

I searched last week for confirmation or anything new and couldn't find any. My guess is we will find out something around spring practice. Again, I had high hopes for TR.

Are there any good LB recruits on the radar for 2013? (I saw we have two or three in-state recruits at LBer and offered two or three OOS recruits, but do we have any good prospects leaning our way?)
