The coaches comments are concerning. Hope this staff can overcome or rebuild that relationship. Also a good article on 2018 recruiting overall

Orgeron and staff called Feaster on FaceTime, checking in with the coach on his two highly rated prospects, Rogers and Marshall. They both have LSU offers.

Their recruitment is different than most, though. Current LSU rising senior Brandon Harris played at Parkway under Feaster. The coach hasn’t hid his feelings on Harris from the staff.

“They all know we’ve been watching closely for three years about how Brandon (Harris) has been treated. They know it’s an issue,” Feaster said. “It’s something they’d like to resolve or work around because we’re going to continue to have players LSU wants. … The way Brandon has been treated at LSU is going to have a huge affect on the recruitment of Parkway players and players around here.”

Those comments are ridiculous. The coaches aren't treating Brandon any different than anyone else on the team. It's simple performance = playing time.

I don't really get it. Exactly what is it about Brandon Harris treatment at LSU that has everyone at Parkway upset. He was given every opportunity to succeed over two years, but just didn't seem capable at this level. Great kid, unbelievable athlete, but dosen't seem to have the football skills at the QB position at this level?

So basically the staff should've given him the job, no questions asked and ignored the fact that he was costing LSU games. Got it.

Exactly. Seems like he's saying "start Brandon, or else!!". Otherwise, what is the poor treatment he's referring to?

This is where this stuff gets twisted....HS coach interjects his opinions on what LSU should do. Coach your boy up enough at the HS level and he is less likely to shite the bed at LSU. Etling-should have been the starter for the Wisky game, cost us that game Brandon did. So should LSU penalize Parkway and not recruit their players because the coach at Parkway failed to prepare Brandon correctly? This is all BS...

What an entitled pansy of a coach. Does he start players in his team because some overbearing parents demand it?

I truly believe that Feaster will try to get the WR to A&M and the QB to TCU.

When a coach makes a comment like that, he's not hurting LSU at all, which can recruit literally thousands of other high schools instead. What it really does is limit the options of his own players, because now it makes LSU wonder if it's worth the trouble to invest in these young men, if their efforts will be undermined.

As for Harris, if he's unhappy with how he's been treated, he has two options: transfer, or work his arse off to be so good that LSU would be crazy not to start him.

While "politics" does play a role at every level of sport, one thing is always true. Studs start. If you're not one, you need to find a less talented team, or become more talented yourself.

Need to bookmark this thread so when everyone is questioning why Orgeron let these kids get out of Louisiana next year, they can see why O let them go. They can tank their coach.

Feaster is a clown... a level 10 arse hat. But he does love the attention that this brings him. Any athlete with the potential to play at LSU and choosing elsewhere because of a dick coach doesn't deserve to come to LSU and we would likely be dodging a bullet by not having such a weak minded individual on the team. He's about 12 minutes into his 15 minutes of fame and I am 100% positive that if Feaster was the only obstacle between us getting a Parkway player or him going elsewhere, Orgeron would squash his sorry arse like the cockroach he is.

Agreed. I'm sure Brandon could easily squash this with one phone call. Sad part is, Brandon prob doesn't feel like he has been treated fairly and is probably part of the reason his coach feels this way.

I'm hoping Feaster isn't basing his opinion on all coaches and staff at LSU now and in the future... it's not Orgerons fault or any coach there now that Harris wasn't coached up becuz of 2 embecil coaches from the past.... QB wasn't their specialty....

First, it really says a lot about his interest that he's taking the lead in the recruitment of his players. Seems like an attention whore.

Secondly, how exactly, has poor Brandon been treated at LSU? He plays scared, he plays stupid, and he can't be counted on, so he was benched in favor of the guy who played with heart, courage, and gave us the chance to win.

God bless the coaches, bc I'd tell the guy to go frick himself. You prepare your kids and I'll prepare mine. We will continue playing the best players, whether that kids from your school or from florida or wherever. It's none of his damn business. Brandon was given more than a fair chance and he simply never got it done.

Hopefully the kids aren't as biased and blind to those facts.

It's adults like that with their own agendas that have turned recruiting into the prostitution ring that it is today

This. It has become clear this is much more about him garnering more attention than anything else.

Feaster is a tool. Any coach in NWLA will tell you the same. He thinks he's helping his players by being this involved in their recruitment, but he's really doing the opposite.

So you play Harris even if he struggles?
You lose games to make a HS coach happy?
Feaster needs to understand which school he coaches.
