Can he play left tackle in college? What are the coaches telling y'all on that front?
He plays LT right now in high school. He has only played OG one season and that was his sophomore year due there being a senior already playing LT at U-High. He has been told that he has the arm length of a 6'6" player right now. And I'm 6'5 1/2" myself, so I really believe he will at least catch if not pass me in height. But if he doesn't grow another inch or two, I don't think he will be given the opportunity to show that can play LT. Almost all college coaches nowdays have this stereotype in their head that an LT has to be 6'5' or taller! Shorter players are rarely even given the opportunity to prove they can compete as an outside lineman. It's not just LSU but all the major programs think like this! But I know Garrett. He is going to push them to not pigeon hole him into only being labeled as an "interior lineman" as some have already! He hates when people doubt his ability based on what a fan, analyst, reporter, or even a coach says.
Don't get me wrong, he is not against playing OG or OC, but he doesn't want to be put there because it's thought that he CAN'T
