No you and him are both wrong.

Which playmaker didn't get the ball Saturday night? Our starting two receivers and RB1 all scored touchdowns. That article is typical ESPN fluff, better suited to the offseason.

quote:Let's examine our most recent season (rather than a single game): A 3,000 yard passer, two 1,100+ yard receivers, and a 1,400 yard rusher. Sound enticing enough for you?. . . Also, we recruited the #1 RB nationally (and #1 player overall), the #2 and #11 WRs nationally, the #3 dual-threat QB nationally, and the #4 TE nationally, among many others. I'd say we're doing OK in the recruiting department.
I agree our offense will have to show more to entice big time play makers to come to lsu. We need to show them we can get them the ball
Dumb arse.

People will come to lsu regardless but if Cam can get this offense close to what is was last year, we will be able to cherry pick our offense recruits
Its been 1 game... and it was against a very good Wisky team and we had all new starters at the skill positions. Did they expect us to not go through some growing pains?
But, I know Guice had some comments from the game:
But I dont think its a problem. And watch how much this team will grow as the season progresses... we are really really young and inexperienced at almost all skill positions, minus Hilliard and Magee, including QB. They will get more comfortable out there as a team, more comfortable with the playbook and game plan, and will progress each week and improve.
But, I know Guice had some comments from the game:
quote:
"I was disappointed," Guice continued. "I wasn't disappointed at the whole team. Wisconsin just came out hitting harder and ready I guess. It was some of the players on the team. Some players thought it was going to be a blowout and they were sleeping on (Wisconsin). "(Wisconsin) came out and punched them in the mouth. They forced them to come back. My night wasn't ruined. I was very excited they got the win. That's my future school. As long as they always get the win that's what matters. But they shouldn't start out like that. They're LSU," he said. But if you ask Guice specifically about the running backs he wanted to offer more constructive criticism."It's pretty much like I said," he continued. "They started slow. Some of them couldn't get (anything) going. (Kenny) Hilliard did the best overall honestly. They were able to get their momentum at the end, though."

Some people on here are so ignorant. We have 2 1000 yard receivers last year, a rb over 1000 yards, and a qb with great numbers also. We land the top offensive player in Fournett, a 5 star receiver in Chi, the best high school receiver ever, statistically, the top dual threat qb, and plenty more....that's just last year. I guess consistent 10 win seasons just isn't very good.

People keep trying to write us off and say we are in decline. What in heaven's name did you expect?
We lose our starting QB, leading rusher along with another NFL draft running back, two receiver that went in the first round. Basically 90% of our offensive production.
In the first game after these losses, we scored 28 point and won against the #14 team in the nation. That was a great 1st game with the youth and inexperience on the team. Truth is 'Bama, LSU, and South Carolina will go through some growing pains. aTm had a very good showing, but at some point the Aggays youth and inexperience could come into play.
The season is young and many teams have question marks. The SEC West is so closely matched, the winner could be a team that wins a tie breaker with two loses.
It is a long way to the SEC championship game.

Versus a teams Heisman Trophy winner telling the NFL that he wasn't prepared, in College, to play QB in the NFL?

Agreed

Not reading/watching that garbage. We have a pro level coaching staff that has shown they can develop offensive talent and send them to the league. We will continue to crush offensive skill position recruiting.

Silly topic and didn't even bother reading the link. How many times on every website known to man is supposedly recruiting decided by a game? Answer 0! Anyone who believes otherwise needs to follow curling...football simply isn't your game. Gotta love yellow journalism.
