Anyone see this grad transfer paying an official visit today? He was apparently planning one to So Carolina but came here instead and now they're not sure if he will even visit Columbia. He's already been to Gonzaga. He was at Texas Tech for two years then blew up at So Utah last year, avg over 20 ppg. Eligible immediately.

Will Wade never stops. We should call him the Terminator.

It's looking really good to get him and Bigby-Williams, we would just have to make room for both with only one spot left.

Bigby has to sit out this year. the guard from Southern Utah on the official visit can play this year.

LSU has 2 scholarships available. Would need to make room to take 3 if Robinson is in play.

Good chance if Robinson comes he never actually plays for LSU, so Wade will have to decide if he prefers the bird in the hand.

We need as many birds in our hands as we can get.

You absolutely take the chance on him, he's a game changer. We dont exactly have a roster loaded at the moment.

Agree, but he may have to turn Onwuasor or Bixby down.

He would just ask someone to leave more than likely. Bigby-Williams someone posted will be on the roster in the big basketball recruiting thread...and you dont turn down either Robinson or Onwuasor if they both want in. Sorry, but, this is anew coach and a roster overhaul has already been in transition. At this point we've gotten rid of every non contributor or "rough/bad" player from last year in ER III, Jenkins, Hayward and Patterson. So if he had to let go of 1 more, it would be a tough decision although I think it's been leaked on here a few times who that might be.

I don't see him running off a player at this late date.

I believe scholarships are renewed in July, so outside of kicking someone off for disciplinary reasons, I think the returning players are locked in.

I would be absolutely shocked (even assuming he would come to LSU) to see Robinson ever play a game of college basketball (unless, of course, the NCAA gave him a waiver for this year).

Lets assume Williams, Onwuasor AND Robinson would all want to sign with LSU. Do you really want to kick someone off of this year's roster to make room for a guy who has a significant risk of never suiting up for you? Top 10 HS prospect rarely stay more than a year in college. I can't see Robinson being the exception. If he was seriously considering staying in college more than 1 year, I think he probably would have gone somewhere else besides WKU. His recruitment/signing seemed to be similar to Simmons'. He knew he would only be in school one year regardless of where he went, so he just chose to do a favor for his Godfather for that one year.

Maybe Wade is looking to "dismiss" another guy off of this year's roster anyway and Robinson coming would give him reasonable "cover" to do so. However, I think if he wanted to let one more guy go he would have done it already. Plus, the current roster isn't incredibly deep. Currently LSU only has 11 scholarship players. Yes, you would have the same amount if Onwuasor came and someone else left, but you would (likely) be trading a guard for a forward, a spot where LSU is really thin. Currently there are only 4 guys on the roster taller than 6'6". Do you decrease your frontcourt depth this year for someone who may never actually play a game for you?

There are good problems to have.

Never seen such a turnaround on multiple levels.

Crazy.

He's a scoring guard with good size. He averaged over 20 points a game on a bad southern Utah team. He started his career at TT. I haven't seen him play but on the surface there's a lot of parallels with Josh gray. Hopefully he has similar scoring ability but without the consistency and turnover issues.

If CWW wants him, I figure he should be a major contributor since lsu seems to have decent backcourt depth.
