Up to 30? Not unless we get a LOT of greyshirts.

I think he's right... We had about 7-8 early enrollees in last year's class; I'm sure some of them counted towards the 2012 class which reduces the size of our 2013 class.

If I remember correctly, we had some space in the 2012 class for those 2013 signees because of some grade casualties.

We signed 27 last year. We cant count any back this year, as we signed over 25 the previous year.
We did count two back to 2012 (originally thought we'd be able to count back four of the EEs)

This year with having so few roster spots becoming available after the season, it was originally thought we weren't even going to be able to take 25. Now I've heard they'll try and sign 25. Good chance a greyshirt or two gets offered.

We have 14 commitments. That gives us 11 more spots to 25. I suspect the 11 are set aside for:

1. LF
2. Noil
3. Dupre
4. Quinn
5. CamRob
6. Willis
7. Godchaux
8. McDowell
9. Garrett
10. Brown
11. Jones

Blacknall may not be in the picture anymore. And looks like we take Ramirez. Maybe one other pops up. So, seems to me, a grayshirt or two will be handed out. The question is, to whom?

But the coaches will make the numbers work. I just hope they do it the right way, not by telling a kid he needs to take a grayshirt after telling him he's got a full, immediate offer.

I would LOVE it if all eleven of those became Tigers, but it's realistically unlikely. I do think 10 of them do of the 11 though. That would be the best LSU class in history, and a top 5 class historically for ANY school.

Of the commitments so far, does anyone know how many are academically qualifed at this point-- realizing that they have not even started their senior school years yet?

My bad. Obviously, I don't understand all of the intricacies of the recruiting rules.

No possible way to know at this point who will qualify and who won't. However, there's a possible 4 or more (including non committed targers) that are looking to enroll early, including Brandon Harris.
