North Texas QB Commit Visiting

On sports talk radio yesterday I heard Barton Simmons from Rivals mention a QB currently committed to North Texas that is set to visit LSU (maybe this weekend). Simmons seemed to think LSU would officially offer and he would accept. Simmons also said he is an insurance policy perhaps if Lee goes the baseball route, but more than that, he is a legit player who could be a very good QB for LSU. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks

He is being recruited as an athlete, not necessarily a quarterback.
I think that LSU is attempting to recruit a junior there as well for next year, so the earlier post is probably right, LSU is just trying to keep a door open at Dallas Skyline.

He's offer list is North Texas, UTEP, New Mexico, and Wyoming...BEAST

Well, it's only my opinion, however, the best looking qb in the a.a. game was a dartmouth commit.
I'm not saying he's going to be all s.e.c. or anything, however, there have been a lot of quality qb's come out of small schools that the big boy's didn't recruit. kurt warner, brett favre, big ben. ect. that's just the successful one's in the pro's. you have charlie fry, Gradkowski, jake d. at carolina, garcia, ect.

i still think some talented kids are missed. if it were not for winning a chance to play in the a.a. game, marcoux, would not have been noticed.
