Jimmy is good at that. He gets info from FW, builds the kid up so people get excited about him and know his name and then the offer comes and the fan base feels like they know the kid must be a stud instead of some zero that nobody knew about. Same thing happened last year with the Holy Cross WR. I am sure it will happen again with Gage. I am sure there are more and will be more. He works for FW and CLM, not the Times Pic.

I didn't know that. Why not just make the offer though? If coaches like him enough.

This might not be true, but I would be willing to bet there will be some disappointed people in an uproar because they weren't delivered the recruits they were promised.

No. We aren't trailing for Brown or Willis. I think Brown has said all along that he wanted to make his decision before football season starts so we should now soon. Willis is hard to read but he has taken a ton of visits to LSU so that can only be a positive. We might be trailing for Noil, he might be trolling or we might be in the lead. No one except for himself and those close to him seem to know.

Even if we get all of the 5 stars we are in on people will still find something to bitch about. We'll get a visit from Deshawn Hand or Lorenzo Carter and have a hat on the table on NSD and the regulars will bitch about how we all said they were a lock when no did. Like Nkemdiche.

I have followed recruiting on this board for years. There will be locks that go elsewhere. That's why I try not to get to caught up in it. It can make for a shitty day when they commit somewhere else.
However, we usually get someone we're not supposed to, so it evens out.

Nah. He actually does a good job. I've been reading his articles since last year and he was on top of some big time recruits before most other people. Plus he actually has some scouting/coaching experience which helps him greatly in his job. Dude works hard and does it with less resources.
