Chaisson
M.Wilson
L.Jones

Miles being on the hot seat is affecting these guys and it's understandable.
But we should stay positive even though we are coming up on the back end things can change.

Aranda and our defensive staff would probably survive a coaching change.

I'm with Maximus.....If Miles can't get the job done this year......Ask Wilson how he feels about LSU when Herman is the coach.

Honestly, I could care less about losing a handful of recruits and falling out of the top 10 classes for one cycle....and that's including Moses, Brennan, Shelvin or whoever. If it means we got rid of Miles then I'm all for the initial recruiting backlash. I'm not even concerned about the potential coaching search at the moment. The day Miles/Cam clean out their offices, the program will take a big step forward to success

One program is slowly climbing up while the other is on a slow bleed down. Les Miles has made LSU a stale brand and nobody wants to be apart of that archaic bland offense. YOU HAVE TO WIN something or eventually recruiting will take a hit. It has been 5 years since LSU won the West or the SEC. We need a new coach to breathe new life in to our brand and program. The recruits will come with the right hire. On our current path, the media will hammer us down and down and down until we are Tenn or Auburn.

Let's wait until signing day and see how it shakes out. Way too early right now.

Miles winning out would be a "freak" thing to happen. Much like his NC here.

This thought process is so idiotic.

Where does this mindset come from that LSU will be ok no matter what as long as we get rid of Les? Ask Texas, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, etc etc. Heck, even Bama before Saban. Programs with more history, prestige and fertile recruiting grounds than us have had problems once losing or firing a coach. I don't expect Miles to be here for another 10 years but this thinking is just dumb, to be polite.

Just because the talent is in our back yard doesn't mean we can't go back to the 90s. Because I know one thing, I sure as hell don't have much confidence in our AD to make a great hire whenever that time comes.

Oh, no wonder the Miles hate.

Just for fun, can you list the ranking of his classes these past 5 years?

It's the lack of support from fans for our team, through thick and thin, that is probably having more of a negative impact. That and the idiots in LSU's AD that show no support no matter what, even if it is fabricated.

You're never supposed to show your hand and LSU's administration fails at this terribly.

"May be" is a whole lot different that "Is". "May be" means the writer has no freaking idea. The media is brutal and makes up about 85% of the stories on recruits. Very little you read is accurate from these guys.

who cares what my computer screen name is it's just something i typed a few years ago. I'm all for the Etling transition.

Yes, I'm very aware of what prestigious programs went thru when they fired successful coaches, and I've defended Miles for years because of that. But it's obvious I was wrong to do so. This program is stale dude, and Miles has to go. I'm fine with handing the keys to Aranda, because I love the backbone being built on defense. I think Aranda would hire a sharp offensive mind to adapt...imo thats all we need. Yes, I'll continue to take for granted our fertile recruiting soil in La.

Miles leaves we get better, plain and simple

If we hire a big name and keep O and Aranda, we'll be ok.

Why doesn't the athletic department plan a smooth transition from head coach to the new head coach?

We know Miles days are numbered. Why not plan in advance? Get a competent guy to act like a mentor for a few years and take over when the "legendary couch" retires. This way you do not loose recruits. Everybody knows in advance what is going on so there is not a surprise when the new couch takes over. Miles could act as an ambassador in a PR roll.

Texas did this with Muschamp. I know it did not work out because Brown refused to retire. However if it was set up in advance, it seems like a logical way to keep recruits and move forward.
