What did everyone get excited about. I can't find anything in the past two days that has us linked to Noah. Has there been some insider information drop?
I saw the tweet but kids always like tweets doesn't mean he is coming here.
If we pulled this off this could be an amazing run.

It's about pre-signing to UF. Many thought we were favorites for a time, then when he signed many thought we were #2. He even said the only thing that UF had over other schools was Donovan. So add that many thought we were his second choice, along with the fact he and Ben played together and have a natural chemistry, there is reason to feel good.

Here basically is the events that have Tiger fans excited...
August 17th - Noah Dickerson commits to Florida over LSU. Says that Donovan puts players into NBA and they have PT for him.
April 30th - Billy Donovan leaves Florida for OKC (Big reason Noah signed with Florida)
May 8th - Florida hires Louisiana Tech coach Michael White
May 12th - Noah Dickerson asks Florida for his release from the school following coaching change.
May 12th - Michael White says he will grant releases to any prospect that doesn't want to be at Florida (no details or individual situations talked about).
To this point he hasn't been granted his release, but here are the facts of the "case":
1. LSU could really use depth in the post that will play more than a year. Dickerson fits both.
2. LSU has and wants to continue to have a good relationship with Montverde (HS) the top high school in the country and home of Ben Simmons.
3. LSU has one scholarship remaining, but will have at least 3 and likely 4 or 5 for next year, so there really isn't any point saving a scholarship for next year unless it's for a midseason transfer (doesn't happen often).
4. Dickerson said LSU was his #2 school and Ben Simmons has recruited him hard. You can only imagine how hard Ben has been in Noah's ears lately.
5. Given the high profile of Monteverde Academy, it seems very prudent to allow Noah full release. Even White said he understands they committed to Billy.
6. LSU has been getting a ton of publicity and Noah has to know that he would have tons of nationally televised games and a chance to play deep into the NCAA Tournament.
7. While no official word is out yet (not allowed to recruit or be recruited till officially out of his signing, it is thought he would fit well with our staff and current team.

Sampson belongs in that 2nd tier group, but nonetheless, if we get Noah, the roster looks really excellent both down low nad on the perimeter.

He's as good as anyone in that 2nd group but I tried to a 1st/2nd/3rd team type deal. I just didn't see him playing more minutes than any other guards this season, but should play a ton in 2016-2017.

Yea. He hasn't taken any classes. He hasn't participated in any Florida basketball events. He just signed a pledge to do so, now under false pretenses of being coached under Billy Donovan. He would be available to start school in June and come with LSU to Australia this summer.

Hell yeah, and two that played together at the highest level of high school competition. That's a huge advantage IMO.

Yea they all 3 won National Championships together. 3 for Simmons and Noah. 2 for Jaylen Patterson.

Kids like that naturally come in to college more prepared. Even though it's just HS, there is an immense amount of pressure on those kids to perform and win. It's more college than HS, that's why I expext Noah to make a significant impact the moment he steps on the floor.
