Are you sure it's at Tech?

Just got back from buying tickets at RHS.
They say James Stadium.

They didn't say anything about it being at Tech, but I didn't ask about it.

The News Star article doesn't mention where they are playing. Some good quotes from Coach Laird though.

quote:

"They are going to get back to what they've been doing, they were just showing off against West Monroe with those empty sets," Laird said.

"There is no doubt who we are paying attention to. "Big boy (Diarse) is going to get his yardage, and I hope we make him earn it. He has gotten better at throwing."

quote:

Laird is keeping an eye on Neville's secondary, singling out cornerback Laurence Jones and defensive back Demon Baker.

"(Jones) is a rascal back there, and their linebackers (Josh Coleman) and (Ashari Goins) run well," Laird said. "We can't line and up and just throw it.

Ruston worked on their passing game some in the JatJ. Minden got really good pressure on them. Gatlin tried to do too much and threw an INT while scrambling. It was an easy pick six for a Minden DB. No one even had a chance to touch him. Gave Minden the lead at the half.

Could be a situation where the OL is having to learn a completely different blocking scheme lining up in the spread. Hopefully, they get it worked out. They could have looked better in the 2nd half. I only saw the first half.

If you know it's at Tech for sure let me know. Taking my dad so he can see Diarse.

Its definitely at Tech, all on the home side. They probably just didnt have the time or funds to print new tickets this late in the game. Yeah Ruston lost 2 big OTs last year, that will be hard to replace, as one signed with Grambling and one with ULL. All I know is Wyatt wont make every single tackle(at least it seemed that way) in the 1st half this year

That's good. No sun in anyone's face. I guess we can sit wherever we want like at the JatJ.

Here's a pic of the Ruston offense from Sat.

Nice, I think Ruston has plenty of weapons, the question will be can they block well enogh to use them. I'll be the guy filming from the film deck in the center of the press box area. I like filming at college stadiums, the video is so much better quality wise with better lighting and much higher elevation.

I read here a year or two ago that Ruston had some really big kids coming up that might be high OL prospects in time. Did that never really materialize?

Brunson is one I talked about. He chose ULL over some better offers this year. He goes about 6'3 300 and Miller 6'4 300 signed with Grambling. There are some other pretty big young guys, but so far no one really jumps out as great, just big. Devin Price is a very good safety that can play SEC ball. Im very curious to see the Gatlin kid at QB. He has good targets in WR Ivan Wilson(probably a baseball guy) and TE JD Moore. The question will be- will the OL give him time to do anything
