Needs for the class of 14

Will the needs be DB and if so, how many do you take in this class?

We are going to take a boatload of DBs, yes. We are thin at CB, and both starters for 2012 will be gone by 2014. There's a bunch of top DBs interested in us for 2014, so it's looking good.

If we only get Gilmore in this class to go w Lawson, DT will be just a big a need as DB

RB-because at least 3 will be gone after the '13 season and maybe 4 if Hilliard bolts. At least 2, maybe 3 if one is a slasher
WR-not a huge need perhaps but could be if we lose some guys early. Regardless we'll take at least 3
OL-because it's always a need. No such thing as too many

CB-not a huge need but we'll take 2-3 anyway.
S-likely the biggest need. We have no earthly idea who will take over for Reid and Loston. Martin and Eugene are the prime candidates but proff is in the pudding. 2-3

Easily DT and RB. I'd say we need to sign 3 of each. Logan, Downs, and possibly freak will be gone after '13. At RB ware, ford, blue, and maybe hilliard will be gone. That's a lot of depth with not much experience behind them

Safety will be a big need right behind DT and RB.

I thought the staff was considering only LF in 14 to sell him as the only RB? That's why I thought for sure we would get Adam Taylor this class and only LF next year. Taylor could possibly redshirt and team up with LF for next class.

At RB, and there a lot of "IF" statements, but:
- Hill should still be here and SHOULD be a stud
- IF Swanson is as advertised, FB is covered
- For some reason, everybody forgets Terrence Magee, that dude is legit!
- Hilliard may not leave early. It's certainly possible, he's that good, but we'll have RB depth for at least two more years while he's here, meaning that he'll share the load with several other talented backs who will be draft eligible. RBs not named Richardson just aren't drafted as highly as they used to be.
Add Fournette to the mix in 14 with Hill and Magee and you have a damn strong group of RBs. I think LSU should take at least one more power back in 2014 and a speed guy.
Another "If", IF Brazil is as advertised, don't be surprised to see him on offense for a few runs per game.
