This class didn't turn out as good as most hoped, but it's still a very good class.

It's impractical to base rankings on the top 150 players because in all likeliness, they aren't the top 150 players.

On the bright side we're top 5 in Rivals. Not that it matters. The star system is flawed and anyone who puts any weight in recruiting rankings should take them with a grain of salt, because they mean nothing.

LSU has put together a great class. ESPN has failed to see that

bullshite. We locked down our state again with a few exceptions as always. We filled every need minus LB but the state crop for LBs next year is silly. We'll be fine. It NEVER mattered where this class got ranked in the end.

There's some correlation in the star rating and all that, but it's hardly linear. I figure if we got one of the top 10-12 classes in the nation, we're fine, especially if we filled our critical needs. Now it's up to the coaching staff.

Looking back 4-5 years at NFL draft time, Rivals has proven over the years to be the best at evaluating high school talent. They hit more and miss less than the other services (Scout and ESPN).

thank you.. if they did Ohio State would be on the verge of a dynasty, alot of bias goes into these rankings.. which is to be expected when you're talking about this many kids

Going into today, sure.

If you would have asked before last year if we would have barely been in the top 10, people would have probably laughed at you.

We got a ton of talent and filled needs (which is what I care about most), but it isn't the top 2 class that people thought we'd have.

Poor example.

ESPN has Ohio State ranked top 10 in 4 of the past 6 years but NEVER in the top 5.

The teams ranked in the top 5 consistently in recruiting rankings are usually the teams competing for conference and national championships.
