The NCAA need to let High School kids go pro.
You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of how all this works.

I agree with those who state there is a good chance that Robinson goes overseas and turns professional.

If he's not able to play college ball this year I think he goes overseas for a year.

For sure, can't see him sitting out a year in college and coming back to play in 2019...

I know that its the NBA rule but it's the NCAA who really doesn't want that to happen

Supposedly he was on campus yesterday

Not sure NBA/NCAA just handle basketball exactly how they handle baseball. You can go pro right out of HS if you want or you can play college ball for a few yrs then go pro.

Fansided just ran an article on potential landing spots. They list LSU as the most likely option. Other choices they offer are sitting out and spend the year training (unlikely), junior college (unlikely), overseas, or joining a blue blood. This is what they say about LSU:

If there were a betting favorite for where Mitchell Robinson will ultimately end up, it would probably be the LSU Tigers and new head coach Will Wade. For starters, the 7-footer is from Chalmette, LA, which is about 90 minutes away from the university. The Tigers were also pegged as the favorite to land Robinson during his initial recruitment, according to the 247Sports‘ Crystal Ball.
Wade, in particular, could be a selling point. He seems to have brought some renewed vibrance to a program that lagged under former head coach Johnny Jones. Wade has already landed 4-star point guard Tremont Waters for 2017 and locked up a commitment from 5-star guard Ja’Vonte Smart for 2018.
The factor that complicates the potential for Robinson to head to another Division I school is whether or not the NCAA would grant him a waiver to play this season. The 7-footer attended classes at Western Kentucky, participated in workouts and does not seem to have a valid reason for leaving the school other than his own personal desires meaning that such a waiver feels unlikely, but crazier things have happened involving the sport’s governing body. There’s also the possibility that Robinson will be willing to sit out for a year before playing what will likely be his only season of college basketball.
Given the circumstances involved, LSU would still seem to be the most likely landing spot, but it doesn’t come without complications.
