Hey The Mick, are you sure your name isn't The Dick?

Straight up trade for Rich Rod.

You sir are a dumbass, Rich rod sucks in the big 10 and you want him at LSU????

Actually, there was an ESPN insider rumor article yesterday that suggested that Miles could be considered for the Michigan job if Rich Rod is fired after this season.

I want to get excited, but I'm just not that lucky.

I see Michigan winning their next 3 games against Penn State, Illinois, and Purdue but then losing their last 2 games against Wisconsin and Ohio State. That would leave them with an 8-4 record and most likely a Florida bowl. Is that enough to keep Rich Rod around?

Over Miles? Yeah I'd take him just to get to see Shep used properly.

Shep would score 25 TDs a year in Rich Rod's offense.

Probably, but I'm sure their patience is wearing thin. 8-4 is really not that good of a record with the easy schedule they play. They hired Rich Rod with the expectation that he would make them National contenders and be on par with tOSU again. He's failed miserably thus far. Although, I still see him getting at least one more year bearing a complete meltdown down the stretch this season.

If Miles leaves, our recruiting class for this coming year, as well as next year's go to complete shite.
The new coach would HAVE to keep Frank Wilson on board, and his workload would get real heavy in trying to keep everyone at LSU

Rich Rod just isn't a good fit for the Big 10. He doesn't have a recruiting base that allows him to create depth at the skill positions with the types of athletes he needs to run his version of the spread offense.
He would fare much better in the SEC/ACC/Pac 10/Big 12.

As ridiculous as this is, do you think UM would actually want him? After the battering he has taken in the media?
Posted on 10/26/10 at 11:51 pm to grif82
Rich Rod calls the plays at UM? His defenses suck. He'd get thrashed in the SEC.

Yes, they do suck really bad. He needs a good DC to compliment him. He also needs the talent base to recruit top defensive players.
Note: I don't want him any where near LSU. Dude is a classless slimeball, IMO. LSU would be on the fast track to NCAA sanctions with him here.

UM might be getting some probation pretty soon with regards to their practice bullshite issues.
Just based on that Rich Rod's buyout is moot. Assuming they get probation in some form, Les would be a good Michigan man to carry them because he can recruit during this time.
In the end, it wouldn't be a bad situation for everyone involved.

You never know. If they want him, he's as good as gone.
