I'm a big LSU fan stationed overseas, and have been following the recruiting board for a few years now (this is my first post). With departure of RR, LSU will need a big receiver soon and neither of LSU 2012 WR recruits seem to be that BIG receiver we always seem to get. Has anyone heard of 2013 prospect from Carver HS: Raheem Falkins 6'3 190lbs.

He is Shyrone Carey's cousin and coach according to ESPN

According to Rivals, Frank Wilson is on him! They also had a subscription article on him.

24/7 has him rated behind Ricky Jefferson, Diarse & Ronald Lewis:

quote:

Raheem Falkins is a 6-3, 190-pound Wide Receiver from New Orleans, LA.

He is ranked No. 342 in the country by 247Sports.

Falkins is the No. 13 recruit in Louisiana (LA) and is the No. 44 Wide Receiver in the nation.

Falkins has a 247Sports rating of 88, making him a 3-star prospect.

Great post airforceLSUfan, he looks like one we need to watch.

Thank you for your service.
If it's not classified info, where are you stationed?

I think Carey left before the season to coach at some college.

I'm stationed in Germany. There're quite a few of us here from West Baton Rouge and Iberville Parish.

Well I don't think LSU would put one of their best recruiters on him in F. Wilson if the kid didn't have BCS level talent. Plus, Bama showed enough interest to invite the kid for a visit on their biggest recruiting weekend of the year...And as far as only having 3*'s...Les and Co. have proven that it doesn't matter how many recruiting stars are next to your name (I'm sure you don't need any examples)..

All I'm saying is that the kid looks like a good prospect that's right in our backyard, esp if Seals stays home...

I have a buddy from North Louisiana that used to be the golf pro at a course in Austria. A lot of Air Force pilots stationed in Germany used to play there. They were his best buddies over there. He married a German lady and stayed over there for years.

I always thought that must have been a pretty cool place to have to spend time, knowing one day you'd come home.

Take care. Thanks again for your service.
