Newman (6'3", 175) is Playing with Jackson Tigers at Nike EYBL in Dallas this weekend with Thon Makor. Newman went off for 26 pts in only 14 minutes in an 84-80 win over B'more Elite. Newman was 8-12 fgs (4-6 on 3s), 6-6 fts. Word is he is an elite scorer. Wonder why he hadn't played until the 3rd event especially since he plays at Jackson Callaway. Newman was 1st Team All State in 5A (23 ppg) with Davonta Pollard and led Callaway to state title. ESPN FOY too. He is the son of Horatio Webster who was All SEC at MSU. I'm sure Robert Kirby will be all over him.
