Guess they are closer than we all thought. But I could see how it would effect a lot of recruits final decision wether they are going there or they are in their top 3.

Lot of conclusions being drawn from what was likely a response specifically asked about Saban. I doubt Dupre just brought his name up all by himself. This is Doucet trying to stir shite up, as he normally does.

I know that many here that know much more about the NOLA recruiting and actually know people in the area consider Chi LSU's to lose.

I've never gotten that sense. I've always considered him a FSU lean with TAMU close by, and Bama working him hard. Real hard, they want Chi bad. Just my opinion and opinion only, no sources or anything.

So it's really a LSU-Bama battle only? (I'm asking)

Or is he just giving Bama the due respect of giving them his time (i.e. enjoying the process).

Ya'll are torching PG but all he did was state facts. I agree, we have greatly underachieved and most of you still don't see Bama as a legit threat for instate recruiting.

All he did was bring chicken little to the table. Bama is on an unprecedented run and that too will end hopefully sooner than later.

LSU has won 2 and played in 3 NC in 10 years. and we are "underachieving". Come on.... Jesus Christ. LSU lost 7 defensive players to the draft and had true freshman all over the field and we will have a 10 win season. You call it underachieving. I call it get that negative bullshite out of here.

Yeah because we've lost all of 3 or 4 players to Bama over the last few years. Again, get that bullshite out of here. We've picked Bama for a few of their recruits too.

What did you think he would say? "I've already made my decision, so it doesn't matter what Saban does?" If asked the question, the answer he gave is exactly what I would expect, regardless of whether he was really considering Alabama or not.

Actually, PG didn't state facts. "no rings except 2007 2 loss BCS blah blah"....

2011 SEC championship ring, beech. Undefeated regular season, and would have won BCS title if Okie State would have taken care of Iowa State -- Bama had all the intangibles in its favor in a rematch.

Translation: "While I am still considering Alabama because of Coach Saban (even though I am most likely going to LSU), if he leaves, Alabama will be completely out of it."

How does that sound?

The quote could be taken a lot of ways.
