I just read this article and he is very high on LSU. How do you see it playing out with the other two programs at the top of his list.

Slim and None. And everyone knows that Slim is outta south Alabama and only left once for a short while just to beat up Big Jim Walker.

From the link:
quote:
The message was clear: LSU was willing to pull out all of the stops for the country’s top inside linebacker.
“When I got in that morning, it really put in my mind that they really want me down here,” Davis told SEC Country.
It’s no secret that the Tigers have a pressing need at linebacker, and Davis certainly fits the bill as a plug-in player. Last year, Les Miles and staff failed to secure a single commitment at the position. Of course, the focus has since shifted: LSU has already landed verbal commitments from outside linebackers Michael Divinity (Marrero, La.) and Erick Fowler (Manor, Texas) in 2016.
What did the program pitch to Davis?
“Coming in and playing early is possible,” Davis said, “That’s what they preached to me. They need me to come in and play early.”
Saturday’s visit marked the second time Davis has been to the campus since May when he last attended a team-oriented picnic. The 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior from Gordo, Ala., said his official visit granted him the opportunity to bond more closely with the coaching staff, players and support staff.
Per Davis, it confirmed what he already knew.
“LSU has always been at the top of my list,” Davis said. “It really assured me of what I thought it was in the first place.”

I'm still in the 'ain't happening' category, but that article gives me the want.

Zero chance in hell. He's a Bama legacy. We are wasting recruiting efforts on him IMHO.
ETA: His dad is Wayne Davis (Bama's all time leading tackler). Our efforts would be better spent on one of the Texas LBers.

after watching him play against Fayette, I was very unimpressed. Fayette's QB stole the show that night! Ben looked lazy and quit on plays, but he looked the part...a man among boys.
