So I was on Oklahoma247 checking to see what their hearing on Jacob Phillips, as I'm reading this Thread their mod says their defense should be as attractive as Aranda's.

Which is to me is comical, but then begged the question, who does Oklahoma have in the pros at linebacker I only found 3 to LSU'S 8 on active rosters.

The question I can't seem to figure out is what is attractive about playing LB in the Big12 at Oklahoma over playing on one of the best defenses in the best conference and obviously a better chance of making a roster in the NFL?

They have no advantage. They are incredibly biased and arrogant.

This, in fact they said on the radio here in okc on Monday, if auburn get's Oklahoma states OC, the SEC will get to see what it's like, to face a Big XII offense

Watch Debo on Sunday help take the Falcons to the Super Bowl!

That will help his decision.

I personally wouldn't want to live there. I spent a month working in OKC and had to seek shelter twice dodging killer tornados. Not fun.

Yeah, well, Gundy is the offense at Okie State. OC is basically an honorary title there. Comparable to Alabama having a great defense but the whole world knows it's Saban's defense.

Maybe Auburn and the Oklahoma talking heads should look no further than aTm and Sumlin, as a prime example of how Big12 video game offenses fare in the SEC.

It's not really that bad. Like anywhere else, you get used to what nature will throw at you. I've gotta take shelter usually two, three times per spring, but I live in central OK literally right on I44- the path that many, many tornados follow. I've been through Moore, Norman and El Reno right after big tornados hit, and it's indescribable the damage they do.

But I was also around the New Orleans, LaPlace, Reserve areas about three weeks post Katrina, and the memories still give me nightmares and I'm not even joking. Hurricanes frighten me more than any twister ever will. Hell, right now the earthquakes in Oklahoma are far more disconcerting than weather.

Jesus, talk about dilusional fans. Lol half of them don't even sound like they follow recruiting at all yet they have a strong opinion. Haha they're dumb if they believe it's not at best 50-50 between lsu and oklahoma. The kid and his parents are coming to baton rouge on their own fricking dime really close to signing day. I think we have the kid in the bag already and he's just bringing his family along with him to get their approval...that's what it seems like. Geaux tigers.

I have no idea why anyone would want to play for Mike Stoops.

Yeah I totally agree. There's really no comparison between mike stoops and dave aranda. Aranda is a Frickin genius.

Bob is a masterful recruiter and offensive coach. Mike is a mediocre recruiter and defensive coach, who was nearly run out on the rail the last two seasons.

LSU isn't fighting against Mike Stoops. They're fighting against big game Bob. Phillips isn't blind to the fact that Aranda is so much better than M. Stoops. There's not even a remote comparison. If he ends up at OU, it's because Bob held him. There's still too many variables in play for me to make a prediction, but LSU has the momentum in the Phillips recruitment, and that's beyond contest.

If Phillips does make it to BR with family in tow this weekend, I know that the current commits and players, as well as O, Aranda and Austin Thomas will sell him on LSU. sooo, if Phillips visits this weekend, I say he flips to LSU.

Anyone who saw Oklahoma play Texas Tech would want no part of that mess. It was laughable, and college football analysts all over the country were calling it and abomination to football. It's one thing to give up some points, quite another to have the whole nation laughing at your defense.

I always liked Bob Stoops but after his brother left, the defense has never been the same. Now that Mike returned, the talent on defense is average.

Stoops is no longer Big Game Bob

Their argument is that SEC Ds are over rated because SEC O's are terrible...........they cherry pick their big Auburn amd Tenn wins.........their heads really swelled when they beat Bama......

They just fell to realize they wouldn't have close to the same success if they played these teams on a weekly bases..,...

It's a very unnerving feeling being forced into the interior rooms of an above ground metal building, knowing good and well you've got no chance against the 290 plus winds going on in the tornadoes at the time. All you can do is pray as you hear the shrieking of sirens in the background.

Bob isn't an offensive coach. He is an ex DC.

Just looked up this years OU Vs Tech game from this year, Oklahoma gave up over 700 yards through the air and over 100 on the ground. Like did the defense even take the field that weekend?
