LSU Softball signee update

Shelbi Sunseri is a highly recruited prospect out of Santa Fe Texas. She is having a monster year and will undoubtedly be named an All American when the season is over.
Her HS team doesn't have much talent but she is literally carrying the work load for them this year.
She is a pitcher and infielder that will see all positions when she gets to campus this fall.
Pitching she has had a really good year, considering they have a horrible defense and a below average catcher she has done really well. She has an ERA right now of 1.21, striking out around 170 and walking around 45.
For her career she has an ERA below 1, striking out a little under 800 batters and walking around 150 batters. She has a record of 20-2 this season with 6 shutouts and 4 no hitters.
Offensively she has had a monster year, hitting .602 at the plate and slugging for 1.305. She has hit 12 doubles, 2 triples, and 11 homeruns already with 47 RBI's with more games to play.

damn, beth might have 5 great pitchers at her disposal next season. I still feel strongly that LSU needs to win one with Hoover and Walljasper. I doubt she'll have another duo like those two

At least when Hoover and Walljasper do leave we have Sunseri, Smith and Gorusch (who we have plenty of time to develop). Also bringing in Shelby Wickersham. Pitching we will always be fine. We even have the #2 pitcher for the class of 2020. Just gotta continue to recruit good hitters

Wouldn't say that, we all said that with Fico and Mack and that was not the case, as long as we recruit talented kids to come here we will be in good hands.

Sunseri has pitched 3 no hitter shutouts in a row, last three games she has struck out 12, 10, 13 batters with a total of 4 walks.
