Per Shea...

The Crystal Ball hits on Virginia LB Ellis Brooks to Penn State. He's committed to the Nittany Lions.

I figured Maryland for him.

But this is good now Big 10 starting to have more than 1 team. Michigan OSU Wisky and now Penn St.

Nothing made me believe we had a shot at landing this kid in the first place

Not surprising. This was inevitable. Good luck to the kid.

Regarding Tyler Taylor:

quote:

LSU has picked up late steam in recruiting. Dave Aranda and Ed Oregeron have always stayed in touch with Tyler, but the communication regularity drastically increased in December. Most of LSU’s contact goes through Tyler rather than Akita, which is different than the other three schools. From a program perspective, Akita thinks highly of all schools remaining. She also recognizes the importance of early playing time. And, for the first time in a long time, that path is much clearer at LSU than Auburn. “I think one of the biggest things about LSU is the depth chart of the linebackers,” Akita said. “For now, we don’t really have to worry about the stability of the coach. Coach O just getting hired into that position. I think he would at least be there for another 2-3 years. We also like coach Aranda. He has a pretty good history of making successful linebackers.”

Think the opportunity for early playing time is better at LSU that Auburn. His mom has warmed up quite a bit towards LSU and especially Aranda.

Wanted him to be a Tiger but he's a Lion. Knew when they called he'd go, they are legendary for their LBs. Conrats to PSU!
