Hope it's a 3b hitter... Fingers crossed we can keep Hines.

I'd like to see Costello put on about 20 lbs of good weight. He's a big boy at 6'5.

Yeah. He's got top 5 PICK potential. He's an animal. And projectable to stick at SS.

With regard to Turang, its like you can't miss what you never really had....just like Joey Gallo...maybe Turang will visit LSU a time or 2

You can't blame coaches for signing them, you take them and just put it in your pocket in case the unthinkable happens.

When you say the unthinkable.. 2018's projected no. 1 pick was an "unthinkable". It happens!

Slaughter has played LF a few times already this summer. How does that work? I always thought that all the coaches were kind of in agreement on how the player is going to be used in order to help them develope.

Doesn't mean much...a lot of the summer clubs get in binds with injuries and different issues that force them to move guys around. I don't think you will see Slaughter anywhere near the OF in 2018.

I'm thinking Slaughter at 3rd or 2nd base next year.

For what year? We're one over for 2017. Way, way too early to tell for 2018.

LSU just picked up a 2020 commitment from California in SS Jordan Thompson.

Thompson is from Helix High School, famously the school that produced Reggie Bush and Alex Smith.

2018 Ruston catcher CJ Willis just committed to lsu. Huge get. Top 3 player in the state for nest year.

ETA: According to Perfect Game he is the third best player in the class behind Brice Turang and Elijah Cabell.

3rd best player in Louisiana or 3rd best HS prospect in the country?
